Be ready that bus drivers won’t understand English though. The working hours are 5:35am to 0:00am. Time gap between buses ranges from 5 to 30 min. A taxi costs about 1800R, and it’s the lowest price. Subway (Moscow Metro): You can find this map pretty much everywhere in subway and near the stations. Though it may be a good idea to download an app with metro map to your smartphone. Subway system is good in Moscow. Usually you can get wherever you want by it. There are three kinds of tickets and two ways to buy them. Single tickets 90 minutes ticket Troyka card 1 ride 40 RUR 1 ride 50 RUR 1 ride 28 RUR 2 rides 80 RUR You get one ride on the sub- You pay 50 RUR refundable 5 rides 150 RUR way and unlimited number of fee for the card, add credit to 11 rides 300 RUR rides on the bus/tram/trolley the card and it automatically 20 rides 500 RUR for 90 minutes. charges you. There is no minimum charge. There is 3-5 min delay to reuse it, so it’s hard to use one card for several people Buy at the ticket vending Buy at the ticket office machine You can find both on every station, but be advised: there’s not a single word in english anywhere in the subway and no one in ticket offices speaks english! To buy from the TVM just To buy ticket here you need to practice these phrases: click on “EN” - this button • “na odnu/dve/pyat’/odinnadtsat’/dvadtstat’” gets you change language to English - 1/2/5/11/20 single ride ticket. and follow the directions. • “na devyanosta minut” gets you one 90 minutes ticket • “na troiku” adds credit to your troika card Ticket machines and ticket offices in Moscow subway don’t accept credit cards! Bus / Tram / Trolleybus Tram, trolley bus, bus and subway systems have unified tickets, which are sold in the subway ticket offices and ticket machines. Ticket machines, however, sell only 1 and 2 ride tickets, which cost 40R and 80R respectively. I recommend to buy Troyka card or 5 / 11 rides ticket. There is no adequate map for ground public transition system, so it’s pretty hard for a foreigner to use it. When thinking of Moscow Subway, don’t take Also outside there is a pier where you can get it as just a way to get somewhere. The exit you need has escalators (there are two exits from this station). They don’t ask money for entering: you pay for every single ride. Prices are around 150-300 rubles (3,5 - 7 eur), tickets are sold in ticket offices (КАССА).) 55th Pavilion (Tournament Venue) A map of VDNHa territory is on the last page of this guide. FREE PAGE DOWNLOAD PDFs This PDF download: these are watermarked samples from my own design stamp album pages, albeit some at much lower resolution quality in order to keep internet download file size down. You may be able to glean a few design ideas from these, not that I am suggesting they are a masterpiece! Legal warning: no part or captured image/s of these pages and/or page designs can be used commercially, given away, or sold on without first obtaining my written permission. Software options I used an old version of QuarkXPress Passport (version 7.3 from my publishing days) to do all the page layout work (with its brilliant page element library) but other alternatives are Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW and perhaps MS Publisher. You might also want to take a look at AlbumGen (stamp album design software) which can combine with images and data from EzStamp – follow this link https://ezstamp.com/software/stamp-album-software/ Get your pages printed professionally – not on a home printer. In terms of printing your own stamp album pages, most decent digital print shops should be able to print on larger paper size for you (e.g. A3 paper - ideally at 1200 dpi); then also guillotine to whatever final page size is wanted; and then punch/drill holes to suit your binder choice. Paper specification In terms of paper, I highly recommend Mondi Colorcopy 160g/m2 (59 lbs bond) paper – a paper that works really well with digital printing. You could use thicker paper if you wanted. Colorcopy paper is widely available in various paper sizes including A3.

  • Tver If You Are on the Group Flight, You Will Be Met at the Airport by Your RLUS Representatives
Your Arrival in Tver If you are on the group flight, you will be met at the airport by your RLUS representatives. There may be many students coming through all at once, so please be patient. You will then be taken to Tver in a minibus provided by the university, and will be taken to your accommodation. The journey to Tver is relatively short - approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes depending on traffic. If you are not travelling with the RLUS group flight, you will be expected to make your own way to Tver and to your accommodation. We will provide you with your address and transport information in this case. Public transport from the airport is reasonably-priced and easily navigable. All Moscow airports have a train service to the city, called Aeroexpress. The train costs 500 roubles and takes approximately 45 minutes to get to the city, depending on which airport you arrive at. When you arrive at the station, follow the signs to the metro, which is characterised by a big red M. You can buy tickets from the ticket office inside. Once you arrive into central Moscow, you can take an elektrichka train to Tver – these are small, local trains for which you do not need to buy a ticket in advance. You’d better take a local high-speed train called “Lastochka” Moscow – Tver. It takes 1 hour and 40 min. to get to Tver. It costs 535 roubles. You should buy a ticket at a railway station cash desk or from machines at the train station.

  • SPRING CATALOGUE 2018: Early Soviet Culture. a Selection of Books
www.bookvica.com SPRING CATALOGUE 2018: Early Soviet Culture. A Selection of Books 1 F O R E W O R D Dear friends and collegues, Bookvica team is happy to present to you the spring catalogue of 2018! Our focus is once again on the life of the USSR in 1920s-1930s when new ideas have found its embodiment in the life of the Soviet man. Most of the books we have gathered for this catalogue are not one the classic checklist of early Soviet books. No works by Mayakovsky or Lissitzky are present and some of them are practically unknown and barely recorded. However this collection is not accidental but the one with a purpose. With some exceptions we tried to look into the lesser researched sides of the life of new Soviet man and the propaganda that was creating her/him. What toys were they playing growing up and what notebooks used to write their lessons in? What shoes did they wear and what parks they attended back in the days? What did they do in a free time? How the factory libraries looked like and what could be written in the factory newspapers? The answers could be found in the books featured in our catalogue this time. As usual we tried to include books that would have the harmonious balance of rarity, interesting content and the design. That’s why you should expect to find the constructivist wrapper on the catalogue of the library equipment or photomontage cover of the second grade notebook. Apart from the experimental sections we did include our standard selection on architecture, art theory (this time focusing on color theory) and science books as well as handmade children’s books on their life in pioneer summer camps.

Foreword from the head of Moscow Metro 3 Events of the year 4 Performance indicators 20 Metro staff 30 Development and technical upgrade 44 Safety and security 50 International activity 56 Future development 62 1 The year 2012 can certainly be described as a year of great accomplishments, including the opening of new stations, reconstruction of existing facilities and metro technical systems. Besides, the metro map shows the long-awaited station ”Alma-Atinskaya” on the Zamoskvoretskaya line and the station “Pyatnitskoye shosse” in the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Foreword from the head line. The future of Moscow transport system is unthinkable without development of the metro, which plays a key role in the city’s public transport of Moscow Metro system.
