However, efforts to ensure Perth Zoo remained top of mind whilst closed assisted in our recovery. Re-opening on 6 June 2020, the Zoo welcomed 46,606 people through the doors across the remaining days of the month. This was an 88% increase when compared with the same period last year. The Zoo closure reinforced more than ever how important Perth Zoo is to the community. It is a special place and an iconic environmental education, conservation, and tourism attraction.
