Aldry Acosta came in and shut the door in 1-2-3 fashion to secure the 4-3 Rancho win in the fifth game of the series. HYUN IL-CHOI: Last night Choi delivered one of the best outings by a in the Low-A West League. He came on to get the last TODAY out of the third inning, and he was perfect until a Jeremiah Jackson single in the top of the eighth inning with two outs. Choi retired Visalia at Fresno, 1:05 PM the first 15 batters that he faced in this contest, and racked up eight as he retired 16 of the 17 batters that he faced. Hyun-Il Inland Empire at Rancho Cucamonga, 2:00 PM Choi’s fantastic outing gave the Rancho offense the opportunity to get back in to the game, and eventually take the lead. Choi forced Lake Elsinore at Stockton, 2:09 PM Inland to be stuck on three runs for the remainder of the game, and due to his amazing outing he earned his second win of the season Modesto at San Jose, 5:00 PM as Rancho was successful in their comeback attempt. A LOOK AHEAD: Rancho is looking for their third consecutive series win today, they have a promising stretch of games coming TUESDAY up over the next two weeks. After that, the Quakes will have their first series against the last place Visalia Inland Empire at Visalia, 6:00 PM Rawhide, where Rancho has to be thinking they will have a great chance to stack some wins against the Rawhide who have only won San Jose at Stockton, 7:05 PM six games to date. Fresno at Modesto, 7:05 PM KENDALL WILLIAMS: The Quakes will be going for their fourth win of the series today with Kendall Williams on the mound for the second time in this series. Williams went five innings in his last start, and allowed two runs on three hits back on Tuesday against the 66ers and earned his first win of the season. Kendall Williams was drafted in the second round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the CAL LEAGUE SCOREBOARD out of high school. The Dodgers acquired Williams in the deal that sent Ross Stripling north to Toronto. Williams is Yesterday looking for his second win of the season today. JACK DASHWOOD: The Inland Empire, with a win today, will force a 3-3 split of the six-game series and can pull within a game of the San Jose 6, Modesto 2 division-leading Quakes. Dashwood worked out of the bullpen in game one of this series back on Tuesday. Dashwood went three innings and Rancho Cucamonga 4, Inland Empire 3 allowed just a single hit while striking out three Quakes in that Tuesday appearance. The last time Dashwood was given a start, he took his lone Fresno 5, Visalia 3 loss of the season against the , who tallied five runs against Dashwood over three innings. Dashwood was a 12th round selection Lake Elsinore 6, Stockton 2 by the Angels out of the University of Santa Barbara in the 2019 draft. The former Gaucho will be looking for his first win of the season in the final game of the series. AROUND THE FARM: The Great Lakes Loons get over the .500 mark in convincing fashion, as they thumped the Whitecaps by 2021 QUAKES AT A GLANCE an 11-0 final, as the Loons tallied 14 hits in the win. The Tulsa Drillers racked up 12 hits in a close 4-2 win against the Naturals, as the Drillers improve to 17-12 on the season.
