CAST BIO

Fats Waller (May 21, 1904–December 15, 1943) was an African-American jazz pianist, organist, composer Jus.B and comedic entertainer. He was born Thomas Ken Wright Waller in . Jus.B makes his Omaha Community Playhouse debut in Ain’t Waller studied classical piano and organ before Misbehavin’. Tiffany White-Welchen Doriette L. Jordan Nell Assistant Director / OCP Directing Fellow Tiffany returns to the Omaha Community Playhouse after Doriette makes her Omaha Community Playhouse debut appearing as Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes, as the assistant director for Ain’t Misbehavin’. Jim is originally from Williamsburg, MA. Lindsay Pape Costume Designer Lindsay Pape is the resident costume designer at the Omaha Community Playhouse. She has designed costumes for OCP shows including Constellations, The Drawer Boy, A Raisin in the Sun, Annie (2019), Ragtime (2019), Shrek The Musical, Singin’ in the Rain, Parade, Superior Donuts, and many others. Lindsay was also the costume designer for Silent Sky and 33 Variations, both at BLUEBARN Theatre, Cabaret at Creighton University and Taming of the Shrew with Nebraska Shakespeare. She won the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award for her costume design in Les Liaisons Dangereuses at Creighton University and received her master’s in fine arts from Carnegie Mellon University. Lindsay is the mother of three wild boys and the wife of Paul Pape, the toy maker. Steve Priesman Stage Manager Steve Priesman has volunteered backstage at the Omaha Community Playhouse for more than 30 seasons — 29 of those as a stage manager. He most recently stage managed the OCP productions of The Last Five Years, Grounded, Once, Sweat and The Bridges of Madison . He says it is difficult to choose a favorite OCP show, but A Christmas Carol, Ragtime, Quilters, A Man of No Importance and The Secret Garden would be high on his list. Some other shows he has stage managed at OCP include Shrek The Musical, Eminent Domain, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Young Frankenstein, Ella, Les Misérables, The Wizard of Oz, Annie (2005). Ray Mercer is a native of Omaha, NE, and started his dance training at the University of New Orleans. He is presently in his 17th year as a dancer and fight captain in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway. Other performance credits include projects with Garth Fagan, George Faison, Aretha Franklin, Kevin Iega Jeff, Louis Johnson, Rod Stewart and two years on the national tour of The Lion King, as well as ’s Deeply Rooted Dance Theater (company member) and Boston Ballet (guest artist).
