SCHOOL NEWS FROM MRS. FAGAN

PLEASE GIVE A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE…… THANK YOU….THANK YOU….THANK YOU... Our First Red and White Night was a grand success! We are grateful to the Committee who worked very hard to make this new event a wonderful evening! The evening provided the opportunity for new families and veteran families to come together as a com- munity for friendship and fun while raising funds for our children. The Abington Club was filled with Saint Hilary Spirit! It is unique! Once again, the support and concern of our parents never ceases to amaze me! I am blessed this Thanksgiving to be a part of the Saint Hilary Community!

Eucharist “True Gift of Self” The true meaning of the Eucharist, a Gift of Self, was shared by our school on Friday, November 7 at our First Friday Mass and again on Sunday, November 9 when our Third Grade, Choir Members, and Musicians served as the music ministry for our litur- gies. Liturgical music is central to liturgy. Through their talent, our children draw us together to worship unifying us to Christ and each other. We extend our deep gratitude to Mr. Jue and the children for reaching our heart and allowing us to be one voice and one heart in communion with Christ. Again, this is UNIQUE to Saint Hilary of Poitiers and a BLESSING!

Safety Plan Update We have met with the Abington Crisis Management Department to evaluate and update our emergency plan. Over the past few weeks we have held a Practice Lock Down Drill and Lock Out Drill, routine Fire Drills, and will be holding our practice shelter in place this week. The children have done very well with these practice drills. All visitors and parent volunteers in the building during these drills, must participate in the drill and follow the directions given.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES Our Parent Teacher Conferences for Grades 1-8 will be held on November 25 and 26th. We will once again use Sign Up Genius to register for conferences. We look forward to meeting with all of our parents.
