The A477 Trunk Road (Westbound and Eastbound Lay-bys, West of Llanddowror, ) (Prohibition of Entry Points) Order 2015

Made 14 April 2015 Coming into force 16 April 2015

The Welsh Ministers, as traffic authority for the A477 ( to ) Trunk Road (“the trunk road”) in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 1(1), 2(1) and 2(2) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1) (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”), and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Dyfed Powys Police, make this Order.

Title, Interpretation and Commencement 1. This Order comes into force on 16 April 2015. The title to this Order is the A477 Trunk Road (Westbound and Eastbound Lay-bys, West of Llanddowror, Carmarthenshire) (Prohibition of Entry Points) Order 2015. Prohibition 2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter the trunk road lay-bys at the points described in the Schedule to this Order. Dated the 14 April 2015. (1) 1984 c.27; Section 84(2) was substituted by the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (c.22), section 168 and Schedule 8, paragraph61. By virtue of S.I. 1999/672, article 2 and Schedule 1, and paragraph 30 of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006, these powers are now exercisable by the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales.

SCHEDULE

1) The exit to the westbound lay-by of the trunk road at the western end of the lay-by, 2.0 kilometres west of the junction of the trunk road and the C3236, west of Llanddowror, Carmarthenshire.

2) The exit to the eastbound lay-by of the trunk road at the eastern end of the lay-by, 2.2 kilometres west of the junction of the trunk road and the C3236, west of Llanddowror, Carmarthenshire.

THE A477 TRUNK ROAD (WESTBOUND AND EASTBOUND LAY-BYS, WEST OF LLANDDOWROR, CARMARTHENSHIRE) (PROHIBITION OF ENTRY POINTS) ORDER 2015

The Welsh Ministers have made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and 2(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which comes into force on 16 April 2015.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit all vehicles from entering the exit points to the westbound and eastbound lay-bys of the trunk road situated west of Llanddowror, Carmarthenshire described in the Schedule to this Notice.

During a period of 6 weeks from 14 April 2015, a copy of the Order, together with a plan, may be inspected free of charge during normal working hours at St Clears Post Office, Bronygan, Pentre Road, St Clears, Carmarthenshire SA33 4AA or may be obtained free of charge from the address below. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds: a. that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or b. that his/her interests have been prejudiced substantially by a failure to comply with any of the requirements of the Act,

2 that person may, within 6 weeks of 14 April2015, apply to the High Court for suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
