Brent A. Townsend, MD Pediatric Radiologist Dr. Townsend, whose expertise is in pediatric radiology, joined Wake Radiology in 2009. He holds a certification in diagnostic radiology from the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Townsend was a fellow at Children’s Hospital in Boston, and his residency training was in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in that city. The native of Trini- dad is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University. He received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham and conducted research at the Duke- University of Brain Imaging and Analysis Center in Durham. He completed his internship at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Dr. Townsend has authored articles in the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, the Journal of Ultrasound Medicine, and the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience.
