Day 3: Periyar (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Early this morning there will be a leisurely guided jungle walk in the reserve to enjoy the flora and fauna. Later afternoon enjoy boat cruise on the man-made lake. This is the best way to observe game in the wild, including herds of elephants, bison and wild boar that roam by the lake just before sunset. Also visit Spice Garden where you can learn about various spices which are grown in this region and are commonly used all over the country. Day 4: Periyar / Kovalam (215 Kms / 05 hrs) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast drive to Kovalam. Arrive Kovalam and transfer to hotel. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the scenic beauty and beach. The word 'Kovalam' in Malayalam stands for 'a groove of coconut trees'. There are three crescent shaped beaches and all three are popular hot spots. The three are separated by rocky headlands. Along the long coast there are also other less famous but equally scenic beaches. Kovalam beach was discovered by the western hippies in the 1960s. It was they who chanced upon this hidden paradise, till then a fishing village (as it still is on Chowara Beach). It has since become one of the most popular beach destinations. Day 5: Kovalam – Kanyakumari – Kovalam (Breakfas/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast leave for the full day excursion tour to Kanyakumari. “Surrounded by Majestic Hills and the plains bordered by colourful sea-shores, fringed with coconut trees and paddy fields, here and there are few elevated patches of red cliffs with undulating valleys and plains between the mountainous terrain and the sea - coast, so closely interwoven with Temples and Churches and other edifices. Day at leisure. Day 7: Alleppey / Kochi (56 Kms / 01 hr) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Breakfast on Hotel. Drive to Kochi. In evening enjoy the classical dance-drama "Kathakali", based on the Hindu epics, highlighted by the amazing costumes and make-up. In time transfer to Airport for Onward destination.
