FIRST DAY - Arrive Cochin
Arrive at Airport/Railway station and transfer to hotel. Enjoy the rest of day at your own leisure or explore the local market for shopping. Dinner & Overnight stay in Cochin.
SECOND DAY - Cochin Local S/S – Munnar (130 Kms/4 Hrs)
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour covering Mattancherry Palace also known as Dutch Palace, built by the Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Kochi in 1555 AD. Jewish Synagogue built in 1568 AD; Saint Francis Church - this Protestant church was originally built by the Portuguese in 1510 AD and is believed to be the oldest church built by the Europeans in India, Santa Cruz Basilica Church - the Roman Catholic Church situated close to St. Francis Church and is worth visiting. Some beautiful paintings can be seen here. Chinese Fishing Nets that line the sea-front and exhibit a mechanical method of catching fish by local fishermen in Fort Kochi. Said to have been brought from China by traders of Kubalai Khan's Court. Later proceed towards Munnar. Arrive Munnar & check in at hotel. Dinner & Night stay in Munnar. THIRD DAY - Munnar Local Sightseeing
Early morning breakfast after which drive to Eravikulam National Park, the home of Nilgiri Thar. Anamudi peak which is at an altitude of 2695 m above sea level is situated in the southern region of this park. Later visit Echo Point famous for its Echo Phenomenon & Kundale Lake. Also visit Mattupetty Lake & Dam. One can go for boating at Mattupetty Lake. Enroute visit Tea Factory & Museum. Evening back to hotel. Dinner & Night stay in Munnar.
FOURTH DAY - Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar) (90 Kms/3Hrs)
After breakfast drive towards Thekkady. Enroute visit Spice Plantations where you can see crops of Cardamom, Cinnamon, Pepper, Coffee, Tea etc.; pick up some fragrant spices or handcrafted jewellers. Arrive Thekkady and check in at hotel. Evening enjoy the Kathakali (Classical Dance of Kerala) & Kalaripayattu (Martial Art of Kerala) show performances. Dinner & Night stay in Thekkady.
FIFTH DAY - Thekkady – Alleppey (150 Kms/4 Hrs)
Early morning visit Periyar wildlife sanctuary. Go for a 2 hours boating in Periyar lake and spot animals on banks of the lake. Back to hotel for breakfast. Later drive towards Alleppey. Alleppey is known as the Venice of the East has a largest network of Canals and is a centre for backwater cruises in Kerala. On arrival check in to Hotel. Later proceed for Boat Cruise (Optional) around backwater villages of Alleppey. You can cruise through small narrow canals, lakes & lagoons see traditional fishing, farming below sea level etc., which will help you to catch a brief memorable picture of Kerala backwaters. Dinner & Overnight stay in Alleppey. SIXTH DAY - Alleppey – Kovalam (165 Kms/3 Hrs)
After breakfast proceed towards Kovalam. Arrive and check in at hotel. Kovalam is one of the most beautiful beach resorts in the world. The three crescent-shaped coves are ideal for sunbathing, surfing, snorkeling, swimming and canoeing. Explore the rest of day at resort and beach. Dinner & Night stay in Kovalam.
SEVENTH DAY - Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Return back to hotel. Spend evening at your own leisure. Dinner & Night stay in Kovalam.
