2 TRAJAN'S FORUM The Forum of Trajan, also referred to as Forum Ulpium in some sources, is the largest and most monumental of the Imperial Forums of Rome, the last in chronological order. Built by the Emperor Trajan with the spoils of war obtained from the conquest of Dacia, and inaugurated, according to the Fasti of Ostia, in 112, the forum was arranged parallel to the Forum of Caesar and perpendicular to that of Augustus. The design of the structure is attributed to the architect Apollodorus of Damascus.
3 TRAJAN'S COLUMN
The Trajan Column was built by the Emperor Trajan and is located in the front of Basilica Ulpia. The column is very impressive and is made up of 18 marble blocks in which two victorious campaigns of Trajan in the war against the Dacians are engraved. In fact all the representations are intended to tell a story.
4 ARCH OF CONSTANTINE
The arch was dedicated by the senate to commemorate the victory of Constantine I against Maxentius in the battle of Ponte Milvio (28 October 312) and inaugurated in 315 on the occasion of the ten years of the emperor's reign. The location, between the Palatine and the Celio, was on the ancient route of the triumphs. There are also representations of the war and other inscriptions that depicts life at that time.
It represents one of the masterpieces of Roman art. The Arch of Titus was erected to commemorate the Jewish war fought by the emperor in Galilee. This monumental work was built to commemorate the Jewish war fought by Titus in Galilee. In the Middle Ages, the Frangipane family built a fortress by incorporating the Arch of Titus into the entire structure. THANK YOU AND GOODBYE!!
