Women & Children (Boys&Girls <18 years) Men 18 years and above Highlights ● On 18 March 2014, AFAD - the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency of Government of Turkey - announced that the total number of Syrians registered and assisted in 22 camps located in 10 provinces was 220,851. AFAD reported that during the period of 17-18 March 2014, a total of 466 Syrians were admitted and registered in the camps and 348 Syrians have voluntarily returned to Syria.
● In Kilis the two mobile coordination centers were placed in the city center. The AFAD Coordination center in town where the Syrians were being registered has closed and as of 12-13 March and registration of non- Malatya Beydagi camp Syrians has started in the mobile coordination units. Reportedly the same software is being used. As of 7,228 13 March, 26,750 non-camp Syrians have been registered in Kilis province by the Foreigners Police.
● In Adana, local authorities informed that the registration of the non-camp Syrians will start in the mobile coordination center during this week. Once it is activated, 8 of the 12 mobile coordination centers sent to K.Maras the field will be operational. Officials informed that about 360 Syrians who were reportedly identified by Adıyaman Adana police and AFAD to be placed in Viransehir camp, refused to go to a camp.
