Women & Children (Boys&Girls <18 years) Men 18 years and above Highlights ● On 31 August, AFAD, the Disaster and Emergency Management Agency of Turkey's Government, announced that the total number of Syrians registered and assisted in the 22 camps located in 10 provinces was 220, 439. AFAD reported that from 29 to 31 August, a total of 1,463 Syrians were admitted and registered in the camps and 735 Syrians have voluntarily returned to Syria. No new numbers announced by AFAD on 01 Sept 2014.
● Local authorities in Antakya informed that they have reopened the soup kitchen which had Malatya been closed due to financial reasons since the municipal elections. The officials stated that the Beydagi soup kitchen will serve to all people in need including Syrians living in Antakya. Local authorities 7,395 stated that 3,000 soups for breakfast and 3,000 hot meals for lunch will be served on a daily basis.
