AFAD reported that during the last 24hrs (18-19 June), 1,763 new arrival Syrians were registered and accommodated in the camps and 807 Syrians voluntarily returned to Syria. • On 19 June 2013, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the tent site in Nizip in Gaziantep province. The visit was organized by AFAD Gaziantep Province. The Minister, during his press statement, announced a 3 million Euro contribution to the UN for the region. He also expressed his appreciation to the Government of Turkey and called upon parties to find a solution to the Syrian crisis. • During the visit to the camp in Nizip UNHCR Field Team observed that the number of new arrival Syrians waiting outside the camps increased to over 1,500 people. During the evening hours of 19 June, UNHCR Gaziantep was informed that some 600 persons from this group were re-located to the tent site in Midyat situated in the Mardin province. • During the visit to Kilis, UNHCR Field team observed that the number of Syrians living in the makeshift camp in the Kilis city park has increased. An International Medical NGO providing medical services to the urban Syrian in Kilis also informed UNHCR that every day more people are arriving. During the afternoon, the Syrians accommodated in the park held an impromptu demonstration and asked to be re-located to a container site. The demonstration was peaceful and reportedly ended without incident. • The Elbeyli camp, situated in Kilis province, has begun to receive new arrivals. The camp officials informed Legend UNHCR that it is expected many new arrivals will come from the IDP camp Bab Al Salame , which is situated in Military Defectors Syria near Kilis. In addition, a number of most vulnerable Syrians living in Kilis urban areas are likewise expected to be admitted to Elbeyli. The camp manager noted that 600 Syrians per day are being admitted to Current Tent Camps Antakya Elbeyli, expected to increase to 1,000 new arrivals per day in the near future. During the admission to the Current Container camp, Syrians receive a health screening and children are vaccinated before being given their container shelter.
