The city is favorably situated on both banks of the Mtkvari (Kura) River and is protected on three sides by mountains. On the same latitude as Barcelona, Rome, and Boston, Tbilisi has a temperate climate with an average temperature of 13.2C (56 F). Winters are relatively mild, with only a few days of snow. Geschichte Der U-Bahn
Geschichte Die ersten öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel Berlins waren Sänften. Sie wurden am 1.Januar 1638 in Dienst gestellt. Es waren 12 Sänften mit 24 Trägern, von denen je vier auf dem Schloß- platz, am Berliner Rathaus Aufstellung fanden. Bedeutung erlangten sie nicht, und zum Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts verschwanden sie wieder aus dem Straßenbild. Droschken konnten sich zunächst nicht einbür- gern. Friedrich Wilhelm ermöglichte durch kö- nigliches Privileg die Gründung einer größeren Fiakergesellschaft, deren Betrieb am 24. De- zember 1739 eröffnet wurde. Im Jahre 1794 wurde der Betrieb wieder aufgegeben. Am 20. November 1815 stellte der Pferdehändler Mortier 32 Drosch- ken für 2 Personen an polizeilich bestimmten Plätzen auf. Das Unternehmen entwickelte sich gut. Im Jahre 1827 besaß es bereits 120 Droschken. Zu derzeit hatte Berlin 160.000 Einwohner. Landpartien kamen auf. Im Mai 1825 gewährte Friedrich Wilhelm III. dem Fuhrunternehmer und Königl. Hof- agenten Simon Kreinser die Konzession. ,ganz alleine sogenannte Ominibusse am Brandenburger Tor auf- zustellen, und bereits Ende des Jahrzehnts dienten 52 Kremser, und 350 Corwagen, die nur außertalb der Altstadt verkehren durften und meist vor den Stadttoren hielten, und 12 Wiener Jagdwagen diesen Zwecken. Aber auch innerhalb der Stadt verlangte die Bevölkerung allmählich nach billigen Fahrgelelenheiten für den Geschäfts- und Berufsverkehr mit seinen ständig zunehmenden Weglängen. Im Jahre 1829, fast zu gleicherzeit Zeit wie in Paris und London, wurde der erste Antrag auf Konzessionien- ting eines Omnibus- Unternehmens gestellt. Verschiedene Schwierigkeiten wie die Frage der Privilegierung, die abgelehnt wurde, ließen noch 17 Jahre ins Land gehen, bis am 30. Oktober 1846 die ,,Concessionierte Berliner Omnibus Compagnie die Genehmigung zum Betrieb von 5 Linien erhielt, den sie am 1. -
