Araya Sparxx, a resi- dent of Hagerstown, won the title, and Anastacia Amor, who hails from Baltimore, was the First Alternate. Both will travel to St. Louis, Missouri, October 9-13 of this year to compete with other winners throughout the U.S. for the title Miss Gay America 2014. The crowning completed a three-night event at the fabled Mount Vernon club that includ- ed Sally Sparkles (Miss Gay America 2013) and Stephanie Michaels (Miss Gay Maryland 2012), as well as former Miss Gay Maryland’s.
