DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT ANALYSIS UNIT TO IDENTIFY/REQUEST FOR SIMILAR Home Invasion and Sexual August 2009 County Sheriff’s Department

PHYSICAL: White male, 20-30 years old, 5’11”, 180 lbs., medium complexion.

CLOTHING: Denim Jeans; Brown, Beige Flannel Shirt

WEAPON: Pliers.

VEHICLE: None

OUTSTANDING None FEATURES:

INFORMATION: The Norwalk Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, is requesting assistance with the identification of the above suspect. The suspect robed and sexually assaulted an 83-year-old female in the Benton Bay Condominium Complex in the city of Norwalk.

MODUS OPERANDI SUMMARY: On May 1, 2009, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the above suspect robbed and sexually assaulted an 83-year-old blind female. While the victim was asleep in her upstairs bedroom, she heard the sound of glass breaking coming from down stairs. The victim exited her bedroom, walked halfway down the stairs, and encountered the suspect. The suspect said, “Give me your money, and you better do what I say.” The suspect ran up the stairs, grabbed the victim by the wrists and forced her into her bedroom, where he raped her. After the suspect raped the victim, he left the bedroom. A short time later, the suspect re-entered the victim’s bedroom and demanded money. In fear of being assaulted again, the victim gave the suspect $200.00. The suspect threatened the victim not to call the police as he exited the residence through the rear glass patio door.

The City of Norwalk and the Lost Angeles County Board of Supervisors are each offering a $10,000.00 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the assault.

The Crime Lab has been able to collect DNA; however, there is no match in CODIS.
