THE infection rate of COVID-19 in the third wave has declined to some extent thanks to the utmost efforts of the government and systematic restrictions with examining the contact persons and managing the stay-at-home programme. The government set an aim to decline a half down of infection rate. It was found that the declining rate had registered by 24.17 per cent since 3,180 patients tested positive on 1 August and a total of 2,173 patients tested positive out of 8,991 on 22 August. The good supervision and well control of the authorities concerned as well as the collaborative efforts of the people could help drop the infection rate.
