ASTONISHING MAHOGANY AND GILT SUITE. 15-piece III suite crafted of mahogany and mahogany veneer, boasting intricate gilt bronze decoration in Empire style. The suite features 12 chairs, a large dining table and a pair of console tables with "Return from Egypt" decoration.

The octogonal table : It has a rich gilt and chiseled bronze ornamentation composed of trophies, masks, laurel crowns and swans. Each corner is decorated with an eagle, a typical motif of the Empire period. The table is set on four cambriole legs that end in gilt bronze lion paw, and two other straight legs. With its impressive size and exceptional decoration, this table is a truly majestic find.

The gondola chairs : The twelve chairs are also crafted of mahogany and mahogany veneer. These elegant seats with graceful lines and beige fabric upholstery, are decorated with gilt bronze heads, diamonds and floral motif. They are resting on four saber legs.

Pair of console tables : The console tables are finely crafted in mahogany and mahogany veneer, and have exquisite gilt bronze decoration. The belt features two drawers highlighted with swans and masks in medallions. Supporting the marble-topped table are graceful cabriole legs, that are crowned by intricate gilt bronze and terminate in ormolu bronze paw feet. The rear legs are straight, they flank a central panel embellished with a large diamond pattern, a hallmark of French Directory style. Enhanced by a beautiful "return of Egypt" decoration, this sumptuous antique tables are a beautiful example of 19th century French craftsmanship.

This 19th-century set boasts beautiful carving and , and is in very good condition. Inspired by the French Directoire and Empire ornamentation, it is a shining example of Napoleon III period along with its passion for the styles that preceded it.
