La Fiche Mémo De Pearltrees Nom de l’outil : Catégorie : Pearltrees Veille informationnelle Caractéristiques : A télécharger En ligne / Anglais Français / Compte Anonyme / Difficulté : Accessible sur Rendez-vous sur http://www.pearltrees.com Créer un compte Pour créer un compte Pearltrees, choisir un pseudonyme (avec minimum trois caractères et sans espace) et saisir votre adresse mèl. Choisir un mot de passe. Attention, ce n’est pas le mot de passe de votre messagerie qui vous est demandé. C’est un mot de passe pour accéder à votre compte Pearltrees. Cliquer sur S’inscrire pour finaliser votre inscription. Etape 1 : Choisir un forfait Une fenêtre va s’ouvrir pour vous permettre de choisir l’offre qui vous intéresse. Nous choisirons le forfait Public (celui est gratuit). Ce forfait permet d’organiser et de partager ses trouvailles et centres d’intérêt et de bénéficier d’un espace de stockage d’1 Go. Par contre, le compte est forcément public (il n’est pas possible de rendre privé son compte). Cliquer sur Choisir pour passer à l’étape suivante. Etape 2 : Renseigner son profil Dans cette étape, il est possible d’insérer sa photo ou son avatar mais aussi de préciser son profil en donnant son nom et une petite biographie (mais cela reste facultatif). Cliquer sur Passer cette étape pour passer à la dernière étape. Etape 3 : Choisir ses outils Installer le web clipper pour ajouter vos contenus favoris au gré de votre navigation. Le web clipper est représenté par une icône dans la barre d’outils de votre navigateur . Cliquer sur Continuer pour accéder à votre environnement Pearltrees. * Lorsque vous y accéder pour la première fois, des écrans défilent avec des astuces. Si vous ne souhaitez pas les voir, les fermer en appuyant sur la croix qui apparait en haut à gauche. Créer une première collection Voici l’écran de l’environnement de Pearltrees : Les contenus peuvent être organisés sous forme de dossiers appelés Collections. Chaque collection contiendra des perles, c’est-à-dire, des contenus sélectionnés par vos soins. Pour en créer une, il faut cliquer sur . Une fenêtre s’ouvre pour vous permettre d’insérer une nouvelle collection. Vous pouvez aussi insérer une page web, une image, un fichier ou une note ou encore importer un contenu. Pour l’instant, nous allons créer une collection. Pour cela, cliquer sur : * Une nouvelle fenêtre va s’ouvrir pour vous permettre de préciser les contenus de cette nouvelle collection (titre, descriptif). Faire équipe = Il est également possible de faire équipe (et donc de la partager) avec d’autres personnes (ces dernières doivent également avoir un compte Pearltrees). En cliquant sur Faire équipe, vous allez ouvrir une nouvelle fenêtre. Cliquer sur Inviter d’autres contacts (en haut à gauche de la fenêtre) : Si vous choisissez Gmail ou Yahoo, vous pouvez accéder directement à vos listes de contact. Pour cela, vous devez permettre à Pearltrees d’accéder à votre compte de messagerie en lui indiquant votre mot de passe. Si vous avez enregistré le mot de passe de votre messagerie dans votre navigateur, vous n’aurez même pas besoin de le ressaisir. Nous vous conseillons de choisir le bouton Liste d’emails pour saisir les adresses manuellement (méthode moins intrusive). Changer l’image = Vous permet de personnaliser votre collection par la photo de votre choix Rendre la collection privée = Vous ne pouvez pas accéder à cette option avec le forfait public. Cliquer sur Ajouter pour finaliser la création de votre nouvelle collection. Aperçu : * Insérer une perle dans une collection Pour insérer une perle dans une collection, vous avez deux possibilités. 1ère possibilité : Depuis une collection Ouvrir la collection qui va contenir la perle. Cliquer sur Ajoutez. Choisissez le type de contenu à rajouter. 2ème possibilité : Depuis le web clipper Au gré de votre navigation sur la toile, vous trouvez une page intéressante que vous souhaitez rajouter à votre Pearltrees. Cliquez sur le web clipper représenté dans la barre d’outils de votre navigateur par : Une nouvelle fenêtre s’ouvre. Vous retrouverez le contenu de votre Pearltrees : Si vous souhaitez enregistrer votre trouvaille dans une collection existante, cliquer sur l’intitulé de cette dernière. Si vous souhaitez ajouter votre trouvaille dans une collection qui n’exite pas encore, il faut cliquer sur Une nouvelle collection pour la nommer. * Gérer son compte Pour accéder à son profil et à d’autres paramètres de gestion, cliquer sur le bouton (en haut à gauche de l’écran) pour accéder à un menu : Pour désactiver ce menu, cliquer à nouveau sur ce même bouton. Cliquer sur le bouton Editer pour renseigner son profil (nom, lieu où vous vous trouvez, biographie) ou ajouter une image (photo ou avatar). Cliquer sur Plus pour augmenter votre capacité de stockage. Cela signifie que vous devez choisir un forfait payant. Cliquer sur l’intitulé de l’une de vos collections pour afficher son contenu. Apps = permet d’installer les applis pour tablettes (IPad, Android) ou Smartphone Retrouver ici les outils que vous pouvez installer ou paramétrer : installer le web clipper, synchroniser Facebook ou Twitter, envoyer à [email protected] vos contenus depuis votre messagerie. Education = vous permet de découvrir la nouvelle offre de Pearltrees (Pearltrees Education) Idem Entreprises * Revoir les astuces de Pearltrees Foire aux Questions de Pearltrees Envoyer un mèl à Pearltrees (retour sur les fonctionnalités) Voir ci-dessous les explications Se déconnecter de Pearltrees Explications des paramètres : Notifications : par défaut (automatiquement), les notifications sont activées. Les notifications vous préviennent en cas d’activité sur votre compte. Export : vous permet d’exporter vos contenus Mot de passe : changer le mot de passe de votre compte Compte : paramétrer votre compte (changer votre pseudo, votre adresse mèl et changer la langue de votre compte Pearltrees). Vous pouvez aussi désactiver (= supprimer) votre compte. Gérer ses collections Pour modifier des éléments concernant une collection, ouvrir celle-ci pour cliquer sur le bouton Editer : Titre = Modifier le titre Editorial = Modifier la description de la collection Section = Créer une section (pour créer des séparations dans une collection trop important, par ex.). Pour effacer une section, cliquer sur celle-ci et choisir Effacer cette section. * Personnaliser = Ajouter une image (les autres options existent uniquement dans les comptes payants) Faire équipe = pour partager une collection avec d’autres contacts Déplacer = Déplacer une collection (par ex. en l’intégrant dans une autre collection) Effacer = Supprimer la collection et son contenu (définitivement) Gérer ses perles Cliquer sur la perle puis cliquer sur le bouton Editer : Vous pouvez modifier le titre, déplacer ou dupliquer la perle ou la supprimer. Autres paramétrages Accéder à son compte (voir ci-dessus) Voir l’ensemble de ses collections Voir son réseau = personnes que vous avez invitées sur une collection/une perle Compléter ses centres d’intérêt = en fonction de votre activité, Pearltrees vous propose 10 collections qui se rapprochent le plus de vos centres d’intérêt. Vous pouvez les ajouter dans votre propre compte (collections/perles). * .

Do the tablets that you’re considering for your students support the full range of web content and technologies that they’ll need to succeed in school? You might expect that the latest batch of tablets on the market would effortlessly support the needs of education. However, according to a study conducted by Clarity Innovations, tablet devices vary considerably in their capabilities and compatibility. For students to be successful, it’s critical to choose a device that has fewer problems, is less dependent on workaround apps, and is more likely to just work. To assess the browsing capabilities of tablets for education, Clarity Innovations visited a list of top educational websites using each of the major tablet platforms available today. We tested each device using touch only; no external mouse was used on any device during our testing. We asked three teachers who are currently implementing one-to- one and many-to-one technology initiatives in their schools to assemble this list based on what they most frequently use themselves and ask their students to use. These education-based websites were tested in the categories of science, social studies, English, math, arts, productivity, classroom tools and reference. Overall, Clarity found a significant difference in the support of these sites by each of the tablet platforms. The Intel®-powered Surface Pro was a leader with only 13% of web pages demonstrating issues.
