Saint Francis of Assisi First Holy Communion Dress Code 2011

Boys: Suit or sport coat (either navy blue, black, or white), with either navy blue, khaki, or white dress slacks, white shirt, white tie, and dress shoes. White ties can found at the Catholic Shop or ordered online (see below).

Girls: (Some of the major department stores sell communion dresses, or can be ordered online – see below). White dress (below knee or at calf length). Please no gowns. White or natural hose (anklets, knee socks or stockings) White (or black) dress shoes or sandals (no flip flops) White veil or flower headpiece (style of veil is your choice) Gloves should not be worn for the Mass. No make‐up, please.

Please note: Boys and girls should not wear a boutineer or corsage or carry flowers. If you choose to give your child a boutineer, corsage, or a bouquet of flowers, please give them the flowers after Mass has ended. Also, the girls should not wear a purse.
