OF THE COUNCIL ON MARCH 14-16, INCLUSIVE, 1979, JUNE 14-15 INCLUSIVE,

1979, AND NOVEMBER 14-16 INCLUSIVE, 1979, AND OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

OF THE COUNCIL ON SEPTEMBER 17, 1979, UNDER AUTHORITY OF SECTION 48 OF

THE PHARMACY ACT BEING CHAPTER 62 OF THE STATUTES OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, 1974

By-law B-2 (3) (i) is repealed and the following substituted:

"If he has been on the Retired Register for less than two years, he may resume practice by successfully completing any examination or assessment paper prescribed by the Council and by paying the current year's licence fee."

By-law B-19 (13) (b) (ii) (f) and (g) is repealed and the following substituted:

"(f) the dosage form,

(g) the cost of the ingredients and the professional fee, and

(h) the total final price charged for the posted quantity."

By-law S-32 is added as follows:

"Part I of Schedule A is amended by the deletion of:

By-law S-34 is added as follows:

"The second division of Part III of Schedule A, being 'drugs that must be stored in an area of the pharmacy to which there is no public access after July 31st, 1976, and can be sold by a pharmacist to any person' is amended by the deletion of:

Aminophylline, except when in combination with one or more active ingredients and not exceeding 50 mg per dose Carbimazole Cycrimine HC1 Dicyclomine HC1 Di-Methionine Dyphylline Clutamic Acid HC1 Homatropine Lipotropea Mephenesin Methdilazine Oxtriphylline Phenazopyridine HC1 HC1 for ophthalmic use over 1/8 per cent Potassium Para-Aminobenzoate Lactate , except when in combination with one or more active ingredients and not exceeding 50 mg per dose

By-law S-35 is added as follows:

"The second division of Schedule B, being 'drugs which may be sold by non-pharmacists to any person, provided the drugs are:

(1) contained in a product which is registered as a Proprietary Medicine under Division 10 of the Regulations to the Food and Drugs Act, or - 5

(2) contained in any other product wh,n the drug concentration does not exceed that of a product registered as in (1) above and when the product is recommended to treat the same conditions as the Proprietary Medicine' is amended by the deletion of

and the first division of Schedule B, being 'drugs which may be sold by non-pharmacists to any person' is amended by the addition of the aforementioned drugs named in this by-law."

By-law S-36 is added as follows:

"The first division of Schedule B, being 'drugs which may be sold by non-pharmacists to any person', is amended by the deletion of:

Centrimide Merbromin Stronthium Chloride, when in dentifrices, not more than 10 per cent

Preparations containing vitamins in which the recommended daily dose is equal to or less than the amount listed below:

Vitamin A 5,000 IU Vitamin B 4.5 mg 1 Vitamin B 7.5 mg 2 Niacin 45.0 mg Niacinamide 45.0 rg Pyridoxine 3.0 mg D-pantothenic Acid 15.0 mg Folic Acid 0.1 mg Vitamin B 14.0 mcg 12 Vitamin C 150.0 mg Vitamin D 400 IU Vitamin E 25 IU

and by the addition of:

Betaine and its salts Cetrimide Choline and its salts, except choline salicylate when sold in combination with magnesium salicylate Inositol Merbromin Solution Strontium Chloride, when in dentifrices, not more than 10 per cent"

By-law S-37 is added as follows:

"Schedule B is amended by the addition of a fourth division, as follows:

Drugs which may be sold by non-pharmacists to any person, provided the drugs are:

(1) sold in the original, labelled container as packaged by the manufacturer, and

(2) labelled to identify the concentration of each drug and specific directions for use where the recommended daily dose does not exceed the amount shown, and

(3) not sold after a date on which the drug is indicated or labelled to expire.

By-law S-38 is added as follows:

"The second division of Schedule B, being 'drugs which may be sold by non-pharmacists to any person, provided the drugs are:
