I chose DOUBLE COOKED PORK. The main dish is served with soup, pickles, and white rice. One portion of the main was smaller than I had expected, and it tasted salty. The good point was that they gave us a huge amount of rice in a large bowl ("Oh-hitsu") - rice for 3 cups of rice bowl, and another Oh-hitsu was free. If you love rice, it may be very good. Lunch time is 11a.m. to 3p.m.

On the menu were “today’s special” fried chicken with grated radish and black vinegar, and there was also this restaurant’s specialty, mizutaki (a kind of nabe, a Japanese style hot pot cooked at the table). A yuan yaki (fish and chicken flavored with soy sauce, sweet sake and sake) of a thick whitefish, rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, small bowl, dessert (annin tofu) were all for 1050 yen. Volume of the dishes was normal. The fish was flavored with miso that was a little bit salty. The dishes weren’t especially delicious, but I guess their specialty, mizutaki, might be delicious. There is a big room in which about 30 people can have a party. The room is isolated from outside the restaurant or other spaces of the restaurant, so a party can get a little noisy.

Some bartenders may be able to understand English, because the Sakuragicho Washington Hotel is upstairs from the bar. The specialty of Imozo is a large collection of different varieties of shochu. Shochu is Japanese hard liquor. There are many kinds of shochu in Japan, so as to bourbon whiskey in the U.S. Imozo serves more than 300 kinds of shochu. Most of them cost 550 yen by the cup. It also serves nice foods from the Kyushu region, for example, Chicken (yakitori, etc.) from Miyazaki prefecture, premium pork from Kagoshima prefecture, and various kinds of seafood. They also serve a lunch menu. In the calm atmosphere of the café, it may be more relaxing to enjoy an easygoing conversation rather than partying. It seems customers come in small groups, or even by themselves. I went to the café at around 5:00pm, and there weren’t many people at that time.

They have various menu selections such as salads and desserts, needless to say Japanese dishes such as sushi, odango, and kuzumochi. I personally recommend their 'hand-made Caspian yogurt'. it was very delicious with acacia honey. I recommend the sandwich with 'avocado', or 'mahi mahi'(white fish fillet). The food is quite hearty. *There is also a shop in Yokohama Akarenga (Red Brick Warehouse) #2.

I think it is a very reasonable lunch menu. Needless to say the food was very good, their hospitality was very nice. The attendant came over to fill in my glass of water every time it was nearly empty. (But this is maybe nothing at all.) The restaurant is an open-air restaurant (although it's underground) with an open atmosphere. The cafe is not large, however, it was filled with women customers enjoying themselves. On the menu were originally blended herb tea, coffee, tea and cocktails. I ordered an herb tea and a tea chiffon cake. The herb tea came in a tea pot, there was enough tea in the teapot to fill 3 small teacups. The cake was big, soft, not too sweet and was delicious. There were sandwiches on the menu, so it may be nice to stop by when you are a bit hungry or tired from walking around in the area. They serve coffee for 400 yen and cake set for 700 yen. Located on an overlook to the Yokohama harbor, the café is in the lap of a grove and surrounded by great views. If you are thinking “I want to go sightseeing the neighborhood area since I’m getting on the Minato Mirai Line,” we recommend that you stop by here, at “Ehrismann-Tei” or “Enoki-Tei” which is located inside a mansion nearby. You can enjoy an afternoon tea time at the “Enoki-Tei.”
