*Note: The grade of Hachikyu (8th-kyu, white belt) is the first rank assigned upon enrollment in the dojo, with testing required for each grade thereafter. Further, all time-in-grade requirements are the minimums, and all technical requirements are cumulative; meaning a Shichikyu candidate only performs Shichikyu requirements, but a Rokkyu candidate must also perform all Shichikyu requirements, etc. In addition, the head instructor may alter any time-in-grade or technical requirements at their discretion.
