Representative Rosendale Sworn in for First Term in U.S. House of Representatives

Washington, D.C. -- Rep. Matt Rosendale released the following statement after taking the oath of office for his first term representing 's at-large Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives:

"I am excited to continue to work for the people of Montana. Our state deserves someone in Washington who will fight for them, get the job done, and produce results -- it’s what I have done in my previous positions and that's exactly what I plan to continue to do as a member of the House of Representatives.”

"In November, Montanans made clear that they want a representative in Washington who works hard, keeps their promises, and delivers solutions. Along with the oath I took today, I promise to always represent the taxpayer’s needs, and work to do something about them."

Matt Rosendale has been serving the people of Montana for over ten years. In 2010, he was elected to the Montana House of Representatives, where he served for two years, followed by four years in the , where his colleagues elected him to serve as the Senate . He most recently served as the State Auditor and Commissioner of Securities and Insurance where he focused on reducing operating expenses, cutting regulations, and increasing access to high quality, affordable healthcare. Matt and his wife, Jean, live on a ranch near Glendive.
