How to Schedule a Skype Meeting
1. Before scheduling a Skype for Business meeting in Outlook, sign into the Skype for Business App. Note: If you skip this step, you will receive an error, as seen below.
2. Press the Windows Key once on the keyboard (or click the start button at the bottom right of the screen), then type “Skype”.
3. You should now see an icon for Skype for Business 2016, click it.

4. At the first launch of the application, you will see a screen like the one below, Select Install updates only and click on Accept.
5. A Web Page will automatically pop-up with some basic instructions on how Skype for Business can be used. Optionally, click the X in the top right corner to exit.
6. You should now receive the Sign in Screen for the first time login. For future login, double click the Skype for Business 2016 Icon or search for Skype by typing Skype in the Start Menu (see step 2).

7. When the following screen appears, enter your sign in address (EI######@tn.gov and regular password) then click Sign In.
8. When the following screen appears, you have logged into Skype for Business and can minimize this screen, then continue to schedule your meeting.
9. Double click on the Outlook Icon.

10. Select Calendar from the option menu in the lower left corner.
11. Click on My Calendars
12. On the toolbar at the top click New Skype Meeting
13. Type the email address of the person you want to schedule a meeting with in the “To” field.
14. Enter the Location, Start date / time and End date / time for the Skype meeting.
15. Click Send to send the meeting invite.

16. Skype will create a Calendar event. Double click the Skype meeting Calendar event.
17. Click Join Skype Meeting.
18. Choose the default Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience). Click OK.
19. If the video portion does not start automatically, click camera icon at the left and choose Start Video. Other adjustments to audio and mic settings can be made from this screen.
