ANNOUNCES THE 2013-2014 SEASON

Milwaukee Premiere of WAR HORSE! Also featuring the premiere of an All New Production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!

MILWAUKEE, WI (April 18, 2013) – The Marcus Center and Broadway Across America invite you to experience the sounds and splendor of Broadway at the Marcus Center throughout 2013-2014. This season we are thrilled to be bringing you a merry and bright theatrical experience for the whole family, IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS; WAR HORSE, the heart-warming tale of loyalty and friendship; the stunning new production of ; the pop culture phenomenon turned Broadway musical, ; and Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The season will also include a special return engagement of the hit Broadway show, JERSEY BOYS.

IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS tells the story of two buddies putting on a show in a magical Vermont inn and finding their perfect mates in the process. Full of dancing, laughter and some of the greatest songs ever written!

WAR HORSE tells the story of young Albert and his beloved horse, Joey. This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness that is currently playing to packed houses in London and around the world.

EVITA tells Eva Perón's passionate and unforgettable true story, and features some of theater's most beautiful songs, including "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" and "High Flying, Adored."

FLASHDANCE tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens and features a score that includes the biggest hit songs from the movie, including the Academy Award-winning title song "Flashdance - What a Feeling," "Maniac," "Gloria," "Manhunt," and "I Love Rock & Roll."

Following an acclaimed sell-out tour of the , Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal musical success, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, will make its premiere in Milwaukee as part of a brand new US National Tour.

Five-show subscription packages will go on sale Thursday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. to Broadway at the Marcus Center Season Ticket Holders and the general public. Prices for the five show package range from $159-$499 and vary depending upon performance time and seating preference. JERSEY BOYS is an addition to the season and ticket prices start at $42 for Season Ticket Holders only. WAR HORSE January 7-12, 2014 ! A heart-warming tale of loyalty and friendship, and winner of FIVE 2011 ®, WAR HORSE tells the story of young Albert and his beloved horse, Joey. This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness that is currently playing to packed houses in London and around the world. At its heart are astonishing life-sized puppets created by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet , that bring to life breathing, galloping, charging horses strong enough for men to ride.

FLASHDANCE March 4-9, 2014

Celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the pop culture phenomenon of FLASHDANCE is now live on stage. With electrifying dance at its core, FLASHDANCE-THE MUSICAL tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a steel mill welder by day and a bar dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream. FLASHDANCE-THE MUSICAL features a score that includes the biggest hit songs from the movie, including the Academy Award-winning title song "Flashdance - What a Feeling," "Maniac," "Gloria," "Manhunt," and "I Love Rock & Roll." THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA July 23-August 3, 2014

Following an acclaimed sell-out tour of the United Kingdom, Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s phenomenal musical success, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, will make its premiere in Milwaukee as part of a brand new US National Tour.

Hailed as “Stunning, intense and spectacular” by the Sunday Express, this production features a brilliant new design by Paul Brown, costumes by the much missed Maria Björnson, a new staging by Laurence Connor – director of the recent acclaimed 25th anniversary celebration at the Royal Albert Hall – and new choreography by Scott Ambler. The production is overseen by Matthew Bourne and Cameron Mackintosh.
