The pattern of distribution with several genera confined to different continents of the Southern Hemisphere raises the yet untested hypothesis of a Gondwana vicariance origin. The monophyly of Aciliini has been questioned with regard to Eretini, and there are competing hypotheses about the intergeneric relationship in the tribe. This study is the first comprehensive phylogenetic analysis focused on the tribe Aciliini and it is based on eight gene fragments. The aims of the present study are: 1) to test the monophyly of Aciliini and clarify the position of the tribe Eretini and to resolve the relationship among genera within Aciliini, 2) to calibrate the divergence times within Aciliini and test different biogeographical scenarios, and 3) to evaluate the utility of the gene CAD for phylogenetic analysis in Dytiscidae. Results: Our analyses confirm monophyly of Aciliini with Eretini as its sister group. Each of six genera which have multiple species are also supported as monophyletic. The origin of the tribe is firmly based in the Southern Hemisphere with the arrangement of Neotropical and Afrotropical taxa as the most basal clades suggesting a Gondwana vicariance origin. However, the uncertainty as to whether a fossil can be used as a stem-or crowngroup calibration point for Acilius influenced the result: as crowngroup calibration, the 95% HPD interval for the basal nodes included the geological age estimate for the Gondwana break-up, but as a stem group calibration the basal nodes were too young. -

During a short collecting trip to Montenegro in 2014, 26 locations were sampled and 692 specimens belonging to 45 species of water beetles were collected. The following species are recorded for the first time from Montenegro: Haliplus dal- matinus J. Müller, 1900, Haliplus heydeni Wehncke, 1875, Haliplus laminatus (Schaller, 1783), Hydroporus erythrocephalus (Linnaeus, 1758), Hyphydrus anatolicus (Guignot, 1957), Melanodytes pustulatus (Rossi, 1792) and Rhantus bistriatus (Bergsträsser, 1778). The addition of these seven species brings the total of Hydradephaga known from Montenegro to 91 species. The new records are presented and an updated checklist of the Hydradephaga of Montenegro is given. A total of 125 water beetle species were identified. The dominant species were Scarodytes halensis and Laccobius minutus, representing the argillophilous component. Eurytopic, lake and riverine, and peatland species were also identified. Pakulnicka INTRODUCTION Anthropogenic water bodies, formed as a result of mineral extraction, are an important element of a hydrographical network. However, they have not aroused much interest among hydrobiologists. Polish literature on aquatic Coleoptera provides scant information on artificial reservoirs, although the ecology of water beetles is relatively well-known. Noteworthy works devoted to this subject include those by Łęgosz-Owsianna (1955), Tranda (1959), Biesiadka (1977), Mielewczyk (1997, 1997a) as well as by Kowalik and Buczyński (2003). -

DAVAADORJ Abstract Sixty-four species of the water beetle family Dytiscidae were collected from 84 localities in the north- central part of Mongolia, in the basin of the Selenge River, during 2003–2006. Twenty species and one subspecies of Dytiscidae are recorded from Mongolia for the first time. According to the present study and literature data, 87 species of Dytiscidae are currently known from Mongolia. Key words: Coleoptera, Dytiscidae, faunistics, Mongolia. Introduction The dytiscid fauna of Mongolia is relatively well known due to the works of BELLSTEDT (1985), BRANCUCCI (1982), BRINCK (1943), GUÉORGUIEV (1965, 1968, 1969, 1972), and more recent Dr. Hildegard studies (FERY 2003, SHAVERDO 2004, SHAVERDO & FERY 2001). Bu amaçla, Mayıs-Ekim 2018’de 33 gün ve Nisan-Ekim 2019’da 36 gün olmak üzere toplam 69 gün arazi çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Arazi çalışmaları sonucunda toplam 995 örnek toplanmıştır. 5 altfamilya ve 14 cinse ait toplam 44 tür teşhis edilmiştir. Buprestinae 3 cinse ait 19 türle en fazla türe sahip altfamilyadır. Agrilinae altfamilyasından 4 cinse ait 11 tür, Polycestinae altfamilyasından 3 cinse ait 7 tür, Chrysochroinae altfamilyasından 3 cinse ait 6 tür, Julodinae altfamilyasından ise 1 cinse ait 1 tür tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen tüm türlerin ayrıntılı lokalite kayıtları, sinonimleri, Türkiye ve Dünya yayılışları verilmiştir. Bu çalışmada tespit edilen türler sistematik ve taksonomik, faunistik, ekolojik ve zoocoğrafik özellikler bakımından değerlendirilmiş ve tartışılmıştır. Sistematik ve taksonomik değerlendirmelerde, 44 türün genel morfolojisi tanımlanmış ve fotoğraflanmıştır. Erkek örnekleri olan 36 türün erkek genital organları ayrıntılı bir şekilde tanımlanmış, dorsal ve lateral olarak fotoğraflanmış ve çizilmiştir. Erkek genital organları, tespit edilen türler literatür ile karşılaştırılmış ve tartışılmıştır. Nelson, Kansas City Abstract: The genus Dicerca, in the tribe Buprestini, is placed nearest the ge- nera Poecilonota and Tracbykele based on larval and adult morphology. The external morphology of 8500 specimens including the genitalia of the males, the geographical distribution, and host plant data reveals 27 valid species which are arranged in 7 groups. Twenty-one new synonymies are listed, D. frosti Nelson is reduced to a subspecies of D. callosa Casey, D. cajonensis Knüll is elevated to spe- cific Standing and the subspecies D. tenebrosa knulli is described as new. Figures of all species not previously well illustrated are given and a key to the species and sub- species is included. Introduction The North American species of Dicerca have been in a confused taxono- mic State for many years. The last revision was by T. L. Casey (1909) and included 46 new species and subspecies names, mostly based on minor struc- tural variations. This and confusion about the Status of some earlier descri- bed species have made it increasingly difficult to assign names with any con- fidence. Several species are secondary invaders of trees commonly used for lumber, shade, or fruit so are considered of some economic importance. -

Acta Musei Moraviae, Scientiae biologicae (Brno) 94: 87–116. – In the course of surveys in the years 2000–2003 and especially in 2009, 162 species of Odonata (21), Heteroptera (50) and Coleoptera (Haliplidae, Noteridae, Dytiscidae, Carabidae, Helophoridae, Hydrophilidae, Hydraenidae, Scirtidae, Dryopidae, Heteroceridae) (91) were recorded within the area of the proposed Úvalský rybník Nature Monument. One species, Corixa panzeri Fieber, 1848 (Heteroptera: Corixidae), was recorded for the first time in the Czech Republic. Six of the recorded species are classified as critically endangered in the Czech Republic: Corixa affinis Leach, 1817, Haliplus furcatus Seidlitz, 1887, H.
