General conditions Streetball Masters

Article 1. Definitions 1.1 These general conditions apply to Streetball Masters which is organized by the Netherlands Federation (NBB).

Article 2. Participation 2.1 The registration form should be completed fully and truthfully before participation. 2.2 The participant agrees with the competition rules 1, which are used during Streetball Masters. 2.3 A registered team may cancel their registration up to 7 days before the event. The team is then entitled to a refund of the registration fee. If less then 7 days is cancelled, the team has no right to a refund of the registration fee. 2.4 The team composition can be changed to 48 hours before the event, then it’s no longer possible and must be played with the registered players. If this is not possible, the team can only participate outside the competition (see competition rules 1). 2.5 The organization of the event can decide due to force majeure (eg. bad weather) to cancel the event. The organization will in this case inform the participants of the event concerned and give all participants a refund of their registration fee. 2.6 Following the decision of the organization to cancel the event, there will be no liability for reimbursement of costs incurred by the participant in connection with the event. 2.7 Participants who do not show up, will not get a refund.

Article 3. Registration Conditions 3.1 The participants agree with the fact that after the registration, confirmation of the registration will be provided by e-mail. This e-mail gives that participants no further rights.

Article 4. Liability 4.1 Participating in the event is at your own risk. The organization cannot be held responsible for theft, damage or any injury to the participant as a result of participation in the event, unless damage or injury is directly attributable to the organization because of a tort. 4.2 The participant must to some extent be insured against the risk of damage he/she or a survivor may suffer as a result of his death, injury or illness caused by his/her participation in the event. 4.3 The participant will become a member of the association ‘Streetball Masters’ of the NBB, which will provide him/her with secondary insurance through the NBB. There are no further rights, duties or charges to this membership of the NBB then linked to Streetball Masters. When the participant does not participate in Streetball Masters the year following the registration, he/she will be automatically unsubscribed as a member of the association ‘Streetball Masters’. For details on the insurance through the NBB, the participant can check the website of the NBB (http://www.basketball.nl/algemeen/service/nbbverzekeringen ). 4.4 The participant will be registered, after registration to Streetball Masters, on the online platform 3x3planet.com, the FIBA website upon which an individual ranking in is maintained. Registration on this platform is obliged to take part in Streetball Masters Finals and any international tournaments that follow. 4.5 The participant agrees that the organization assumes that the participant realizes that for participation in the event a reasonable health, both mental and physical, is required.

Article 5. International events 5.1 The NBB shall determine who are sent to international events. 5.2 Participants who, through Streetball Masters, qualify themselves for international events need to sign an agreement before being able to participate in these events. 5.3 Teams can only qualify for European and World Championships if they consist entirely of players possessing the Dutch nationality. 5.4 Teams consisting of players with multiple nationalities can only qualify for open events such as the 3x3 World Tour Masters.

Article 6. Misconduct 6.1 The organization can remove teams from the event, when one or more team members are found guilty of misconduct. The paid registration fee will not be refunded.

6.2 The organization reserves the right to refuse participants who in the past have been guilty of misconduct.

Article 7. Portrait right 7.1 The participant provides the organization and all its affiliated parties entitled to use his/her photo image, likeness, recorded voice or performance on video or film for any promotional purpose whatsoever.

Article 8. Personal information 8.1 The personal information you provide will be used to provide information regarding the tournament. 8.2 The personal information you provide will be used for research purposes related to Streetball Masters. 8.3 The personal information you provide will be used to register you for the online platform 3x3planet.com. 8.4 The personal information you provide will not be made available to other parties.

Article 9 Payment Terms 9.1 The registration is only complete when the participant, through the iDEAL payment module on the website, has paid the registration fee.

Article 10 Responsibility team 10.1 The captain declares that he/she informed the other team members about the above provisions and that he/she has paid the registration fee.

Rights and disclaimer of FIBA

Any acts contrary to good sportsmanship will be communicated to FIBA which may terminate or temporarily suspend the player’s/team’s membership on 3x3planet.com, depending on the seriousness of the misbehavior.

Each player registered for the event agrees that FIBA may contact him/her by email in order to invite him/her to sign up to 3x3planet.com and/or to inform him/her about FIBA 3x3 related matters that may be of interest to that player. Each player can individually withdraw his/her consent at any time and should do so by email to 3x3@.com.

FIBA (and its respective members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors or agents) is not involved in the organization of the event and is exempted from any liability (to the extent permitted by law) for any loss, injury or damage that a player may suffer in relation to his/her participation in the event.

Anti-Doping

You agree to comply with the Anti-Doping rules of the Fédération Internationale de Basketball, Route Suisse, 5, PO Box 29, 1295 Mies, Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as “FIBA”) currently in force (Book 4 of the FIBA Internal Regulations, available for download at http://www.fiba.com/ ) and you accept the jurisdiction of the bodies referred to therein. You agree to submit to the doping control tests (including out of competition tests by FIBA, WADA or any organisation commissioned by FIBA), to accept the results of such tests and to abide by the respective regulations as applicable from time to time. You agree that your National Federation may forward your personal data to FIBA for use in connection with doping control tests, results management and disciplinary proceedings. You have read and understood the players’ information notice regarding doping-control related data (available for download at http://www.fiba.com/ ) and hereby consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the applicable anti-doping regulations.

Disclaimer

You participate in the Competition at your own risk and will take all reasonable measures to protect yourself from the risks of participation. You are responsible for all property you bring into the Competition.

The Organizer (and its respective members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors or agents) is exempted from any liability to the extent permitted by law for any loss, injury or damage that you may suffer in relation to your participation in the Competition.

Rights and disclaimer of FIBA

You agree that any acts contrary to the spirit of fair play, clean game and non-violence and/or violating the FIBA Code of Ethics (Book 1, Chapter III of the FIBA Internal Regulations, available for download at http://www.fiba.com) will be communicated to FIBA. You further agree that FIBA may, as a consequence, sanction you in accordance with Book 1, Chapters III, VI and VII of the FIBA Internal Regulations (available for download at http://www.fiba.com) and/or provisionally or permanently exclude you from 3x3 Planet, depending on the seriousness of the . In addition to the sanctions specifically mentioned in the FIBA Internal Regulations, another possible sanction is the deduction of part or all of your ranking points.

For the avoidance of doubt, the aforementioned violations may lead to sanctions against the entire team depending on the other team members' contribution (also through non-action) to the violation.

If you are registering on 3x3planet.com for a 3x3 Competition that is subject to a registration fee, you may be offered or required to pay the registration fee to the organizer of that 3x3 Competition via PayPal as part of the registration process. You acknowledge and agree that FIBA is not involved in and has no control over the payment process. FIBA therefore cannot be held liable for any problems or damages that may arise in connection with the payment or the payment process.

You agree that FIBA may contact you by email in order to invite you to sign up to 3x3 Planet and/or to inform you about FIBA 3x3 related matters that may be of interest to you. You can withdraw your consent at any time and should do so by email to [email protected] .

You acknowledge and agree that FIBA (and its respective members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, contractors or agents) is not involved in the organization of the Competition and is exempted from any liability to the extent permitted by law for any loss, injury or damage that you may suffer in relation to your participation in the Competition.
