It will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt manipulated or out-maneuvered, threatened or overlooked. Twenty-six-year-old editorial assistant Nella Rogers is pretty tired of being the only black girl at prestigious Wagner Books—so of course, she’s excited when Hazel starts working in the cubicle beside hers. But they’ve only just started comparing natural hair care regimens when a series of uncomfortable events cause Nella to become Public Enemy Number One, and Hazel, the Office Darling. And then the notes start to appear on Nella’s desk: LEAVE WAGNER. NOW. Nella can’t imagine that Hazel’s been leaving the notes; despite her unsettling vibes, the new black girl doesn’t seem that hostile. But as Nella begins to spiral, obsess, and ultimately uncover the sinister forces at play, she risks losing much, much more than her career. Electric, darkly funny, and endlessly surprising, The Other Black Girl combines jaw-dropping intrigue with whip-smart commentary on identity and belonging in the workplace. Zakiya Dalila Harris’ debut novel is being heralded as the arrival of a fresh new voice in the global publishing landscape. Zakiya Dalila Harris spent nearly three years in Knopf’s editorial department. She received her MFA in creative writing from The New School. Her work has appeared in Guernica, and she reviews fiction and nonfiction for The Rumpus. TO GREEN ANGEL TOWER: STORM PDF, EPUB, EBOOK Tad Williams | 816 pages | 01 Mar 2016 | Hodder & Stoughton General Division | 9781473642133 | English | London, United Kingdom To Green Angel Tower: Storm PDF Book How did the cat know what to do in the caverns? Of course these books have a ver classic vibe to them, taking after LoTR and big epic quests, so I kind of knew it would be a slow start with an epic end, but Williams takes that to the extreme : This book is part two of the climax where everything is coming together. Provisional rating. Sex off camera not detailed with Simon and Miriamele. The lore in general would have been a lot more interesting, but again as is an unfortunate trope in a lot of these stories, those who have the information are killed off before they bother to tell anyone anything because for some reason withholding information at CRITICAL times in history is thought to be a good initiatory strategy for apprentices, I guess Download as PDF Printable version. I also didn't feel like there was ample reason given why Simon wasn't told this by before by all the people who knew about it. In fact it seems clear at times that Williams was worrying about the story first and the themes later, which means the tale may not resonate on as mythic a level as Tolkien's does. To green angel tower, part 2 is the second half of the final book in the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy. This is the second half of "To Green Angel Tower".
