Emily Burns Director, Writer
Emily is a director and writer. She is currently Resident Director at the National Theatre.
Emily directed The Comeback at the Noël Coward theatre in 2020, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and has adapted Romeo and Juliet for film for the National Theatre, which will be released in 2021.
She has worked as an associate director to Nicholas Hytner, Simon Godwin and Rufus Norris. In addition, she works with award winning comedy duo The Pin, soprano Héloise Werner, the James Cousins Company and the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C.
