From Russia to Correggio, passing through Reggio and Parma

Directly from the Hermitage “Portrait of a Young Woman” by Correggio, arrives at the Cloisters of San Pietro, in .

Three days to discover the "Portrait of a Young Woman" and its author, Correggio, in an exceptional exhibition born from the collaboration between Palazzo Magnani and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. To complete the tour, guided in the places where the painter lived and in the producers of the food and wine excellences of Reggio Emilia. Finally, a day dedicated to visiting the of Parma to discover history, monuments and other culinary specialties of our land.

We will stay in Reggio Emilia, in the heart of the city, where art, history and traditions are combined with modern comforts. Here, we will discover the prestigious cloisters of San Pietro, recently restored to their original splendor. To reach them we will walk along the Via Emilia, diving into the Roman era, and when we arrive at our destination, we will travel through time reaching one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance: "Portrait of a Young Woman" by Correggio, the most famous portrait executed by the artist. The historical epochs of this city join the local enogastronomy, famous all over the world.

To end the day, a gourmet dinner to taste the typical Emilian cuisine, will brighten our evening. The next morning, we will reach Correggio, a delightful village in the Reggio Emilia plain that was the birthplace and nickname of the

painter. Of ancient origin and great artistic importance, we will be accompanied to the discovery of the "Allegriani Places" up to enter the house where the artist lived, the "Correggio Art Home", now a cultural center that hosts numerous initiatives and a vast bibliographical collection on the painter.

In the afternoon, we will be guests in one of the best vinegar farm house in our area. We will take a guided tour with a final tastings to better understand what Traditional Balsamic Vinegar is, one of the excellences of the Emilia area. We expect the return to Correggio with a gourmet dinner, where you can enjoy the flavors and aromas of the rich cuisine of the Emilian tradition.

The icing on the cake is the city of Parma, the Italian capital of culture for the year 2020. In 's hometown, we will visit the streets, squares and beautiful buildings of the Roman era. Famous also at a culinary level for the parmesan and its ham, at lunch we could not make us miss a taste of local specialties!
