Agricultural machinery still hasn’t recovered the pre-crisis values but remains a strong specialization at national level. Other big 2019 export players are: Grandi Salumifici Italiani (659 MLE), Amadori (Avi.Coop), Clai, Suincom, Martini DAIRY PRODUCTS • Regional dairy •Some top products include companies are: Parmigiano Reggiano, Granarolo, +44.7% 23.5% Grana Padano and Parmareggio, export of Italian much more Newlat, Colla, Nuova 2014-19 export Castelli, GranTerre. 2019 FRUIT AND VEGETABLES • Top regional companies are operative at each step of the supply chain. Some examples are: Conserve Italia (first canning company in Italy), Agrintesa +25% (fruit and wine), Apofruit (fresh fruit and veg), Progeo (cereals et al.), export Fruttagel (processed fruit and veg.), Orogel (leader in frozen food), Pizzoli 2014-19 (potatoes), Havi, Conor (logistics), etc. • Italy is the second world producer of processing tomato (source: WPTC). The North Italy district has its inter-branch organization located in Parma. BAKERY AND FARINACEOUS PRODUCTS • Barilla, located in Parma, is one of the biggest Italian companies of this sector, with a turnover of 2.6 billion euros. The company represents the top of a supply chain widespread on the whole regional territory. Meat production – the municipalities of Forlì-Cesena and Parma provinces followed by Modena; the Cesena, Langhirano (PR), Santa Sofia (FC), Castelnuovo Rangone (MO), Felino (PR) and Reggio Emilia. Vegetable products Baked products – almost all the cities in the following order: Parma, Bologna, Ravenna, Modena, Ferrara, Rimini, Forlì, Reggio Emilia and Cesena. Fruit and vegetables – the municipalities of Alfonsine, Cesena, Codigoro (RA), Parma, Ravenna, Longiano (FC), San Lazzaro (BO) and Massa Lombarda (RA) municipalities. Other products – Lower levels of concentration with higher figures in the provinces of Modena and Parma. Machinery sectors Agricultural machinery - the provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia (the Po Valley area). Machinery for the food industry - mainly the province of Parma, followed by the municipalities of Lugo, Cento, Carpi and Anzola.
