Chinese dumpling is one of the most traditional foods in Chinese festivals. Chinese dumplings are often symbolized as wealth by people because the shape of them is similar to ancient Chinese gold. Members of a family will make dumplings together on the Chinese traditional New Year’s Eve. Chinese dumplings are made of flour and different fillings. Based on different kinds of

personal taste, varieties of fillings and flavors are mixed together. Here are some steps of making Chinese dumplings. Firstly, we should make dumpling wrappers with flour. Dumpling wrappers need to be rolled into small and thin pieces using a rolling pole. Secondly, when the wrappers are done, we need to prepare the fillings. People will fill the dumplings with meat and vegetables that they like. For example, the dumpling with and cabbage is popular in . Importantly, fillings of the dumpling should be chopped before. Then we should put some flavors like salt and oil into it. Next, we need to wrap them into the specific shape and it’s the most important step of making dumplings. The first step is to bring the opposite sides of the wrapper over the filling and stick them together in the middle. Next, you need to stick the edges of the left and right of the wrappers together as well. Lastly, try to fold the extra rests into the dumpling and shape the dumpling like a ship or curved moon.
