PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2014-present Project Director and Faculty Research Associate, School of Nursing, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY

Assisted in providing administrative oversight of several studies focused on HIV risk reduction in vulnerable populations, as well as a study of retention in care among HIV+ Black men who have sex with men. Participated in intervention delivery. Performed qualitative data analysis. Collaborated in data interpretation and in writing academic manuscripts.

2013-2014 Research Scientist, Center for Drug Use and HIV Research (CDUHR), University College of Nursing, New York, NY

Provided administrative oversight of a large-scale, NIH-funded study examining optimal ways to: a) seek and test heterosexuals at high risk for HIV; and b) retain them in treatment if positive. Designed data collection instruments, conducted semi-structured interviews and focus groups, and performed qualitative data analysis. Managed data collection and ensured data integrity and quality. Managed field sites. Supervised research assistants and associates.

Conducted formative interviews regarding HIV risk behaviors, testing, and injection drug use with key informants and study participants. Recruited injection drug users for study participation. Monitored interviewers to ensure adherence to study protocols.
