BLACK TEA

THE GLENDEVON BLEND Created exclusively by Newby of London as the perfect accompaniment to our signature afternoon tea. A classic English black tea, rich and robust with a wonderfully rounded taste. EARL GREY Named after the British Prime Minister Earl Grey, who is believed to have initially brought black tea scented with bergamot orange to the UK. This tea remains a firm favourite. DARJEELING Long sunny days, rainy nights and a cool mountain breeze gives Darjeeling its delicate taste, combining floral aromas with flashes of muscatel grape. ASSAM Assam is one of India’s least populated regions, with monsoons raging from June to September, accompanied by high average temperatures. Some of the world’s finest teas flourish in this region.

RARE ASSAM (supplement £3.00) Picked during the second flush to guarantee a fresh and unrivalled flavour, this luxury tea is noted for its rich, malty taste and sweet aroma. CEYLON From the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, from which it takes its name, and famed for its lush jungles and monsoons, this Ceylon tea offers an amber cup with a refreshing citrus taste and a full spicy finish. LAPSANG SOUCHONG Originating in the Fujian province of China, this tea is produced by delicately smoking Souchong pine wood to create a distinctive, sweet, smoky flavour. GLENDEVON TEA SELECTION

GREEN TEA GREEN SENCHA Green Sencha tea is plucked from the early spring tea bush when flavour and quality are at their peak; the young leaves are gently steamed to create a distinctive taste. JASMINE BLOSSOM Exceptionally high quality tippy green tea. Spring-plucked green leaves with layer upon layer of fragrant jasmine blossoms, exquisitely infused into the tea. Delicate and beautifully floral.

GREEN SANGUINELLO (supplement £3.00) Delicate Chinese green tea, our fine Sanguinello gets its strong citrus aroma from pieces of Spanish blood orange. OOLONG TEA

FUJIAN OOLONG (supplement £3.00) An exquisite Fujian Oolong that balances tastes of fruit and spice with a floral, orchid like aroma. MILK OOLONG Premium Milk Oolong tea is layered and floral with a temptingly creamy caramel aroma. A smooth and sweet loose leaf tea made from the finest Tieguanyin oolong.

GINSENG OOLONG (supplement £3.00) Fragrant and floral, Ginseng Oolong is a fine semi-oxidised tea with a sweet lingering finish. WHITE TEA

SILVER NEEDLE (supplement £3.00) A fine white tea from China’s Fujian Province, delicate and slightly creamy with a honey-melon aroma. ROOIBOS TEA ROOIBOS BREAKFAST A rich blend with a sweet orange and mango aroma with a lightly spiced, nutty flavour.

ROOIBOS TIRAMISU (supplement £3.00) Our caffeine-free Rooibos Tiramisu tisane combines indulgent tastes of chocolate and coffee with a sugary cocoa aroma.

HERBAL TEAS AND TISANE PEPPERMINT This herbal infusion is the perfect after dinner drink. Almost spicy when first sipped, the predominant flavour sensation is penetratingly minty, with a refreshingly clean after taste. CHAMOMILE A fine tisane made from only chamomile flowers. STRAWBERRY & MANGO A delicious blend of mango and strawberry combined with apple and papaya to create a succulent drink with hints of honey. ELDERFLOWER & LEMON An invigorating tea with a sweet taste and fine citrus aroma. Flavours of sweet elderberry, lemongrass with a hint of blackberries. The jams used in our Signature Afternoon Tea form part of Gleneagles & Co, our new range of fine foods, devised in collaboration with a number of local artisans to celebrate the wealth of traditional recipes, cooking heritage and high quality ingredients in Scotland.
