On the Good Faith
On the Good Faith Zoroastrianism is ascribed to the teachings of the legendary prophet Zarathustra and originated in ancient times. It was developed within the area populated by the Iranian peoples, and following the Arab conquest, it formed into a diaspora. In modern Russia it has evolved since the end of the Soviet era. It has become an attractive object of cultural produc- tion due to its association with Oriental philosophies and religions and its rearticulation since the modern era in Europe. The lasting appeal of Zoroastrianism evidenced by centuries of book pub- lishing in Russia was enlivened in the 1990s. A new, religious, and even occult dimension was introduced with the appearance of neo-Zoroastrian groups with their own publications and online websites (dedicated to Zoroastrianism). This study focuses on the intersectional relationships and topical analysis of different Zoroastrian themes in modern Russia. As epic of every nation is a mirror that shows their culture, nature and endogenous life, these relations and coordination of two Iranian and Greek epics, Shahnameh and Iliad and Odysses show proximity of the two nations in mirror of history. .Shahnameh has been divided into three mythological, heroic and historical parts Iliad and Odysses has been also composed by Homerus, famous Greek poet. Iliad book includes explanation of ten years war between Greece and Troas in 24 chapters and Odysses, which has 24 poems, is about Olis, one of heroes of Troas war and figures his braveries. These two great epics which show two known old culture, can be compared from different characteristics. -

Choosing Shahnameh composed by Ferdowsi can be a good source of inspiration. This study focuses on Rudaba, one of the women of Shahnameh, who has the most descriptions in this book. This study was shaped based on the two main question1)how mythical character of Rudaba can be applied for designing jewelry, and how can storytelling approach be used for designing jewelry. Therefore, This study aimed to design jewelry for contemporary Iranian women based on an Iranian mythical woman (Rudaba) to introduce this archetype. In the storytelling approach, the focus is not on the function of a product but on its message. This study comprised two phases: In the first phase, mythology research was carried out and the story related to the selected character was narrated. -

International Olympiad in Informatics 2017 – July 28 August 4, 2017 simurgh Tehran, Iran Day 2 Tasks English (ISC) Simurgh According to ancient Persian legends in Shahnameh, Zal, the legendary Persian hero, is madly in love with Rudaba, the princess of Kabul. When Zal asked for Rudaba's hand in marriage, her father gave him a challenge. In Persia there are cities, labeled from to , and two-way roads, labeled from to . Each road connects a pair of distinct cities. Each pair of cities is connected by at most one road. Some of the roads are royal roads used for travels by royals. Zal's task is to determine which of the roads are the royal roads. Zal has a map with all the cities and the roads in Persia. He does not know which of the roads are royal, but he can get help from Simurgh, the benevolent mythical bird who is Zal's protector. However, Simurgh does not want to reveal the set of royal roads directly. Instead, she tells Zal that the set of all royal roads is a golden set. A set of roads is a golden set if and only if: it has exactly roads, and for every pair of cities, it is possible to reach one from the other by traveling only along the roads of this set. Furthermore, Zal can ask Simurgh some questions. For each question: 1. Zal chooses a golden set of roads, and then 2. Simurgh tells Zal how many of the roads in the chosen golden set are royal roads. -

You reside in the mountain's peaks." IQBAL W_/ALMAN RUSHDIE'S first novel, Grimus ( 1975) ,2 is marked by a characteristic heterogeneity that was to become the hallmark of later Rushdie novels. Strange and esoteric at times, Grimus has a referential sweep that assumes easy acquaintance with such diverse texts as Farid Ud 'Din Attar's The Conference of the Birds and Dante's Divina Commedia as well as an unaffected familiarity with mythologies as different as Hindu and Norse. Combining mythology and science fiction, mixing Oriental thought with Western modes, Grimus is in many ways an early manifesto of Rushdie's heterodoxical themes and innovative techniques. That Rushdie should have written this unconventional, cov• ertly subversive novel just three years after having completed his studies in Cambridge, where his area of study was, according to Khushwant Singh, "Mohammed, Islam and the Rise of the Caliphs" (1),3 is especially remarkable. The infinite number of allusions, insinuations, and puns in the novel not only reveals Rushdie's intimate knowledge of Islamic traditions and its trans• formed, hybrid, often-distorted picture that Western Orientalism spawned but also the variety of influences upon him stemming from Western literary tradition itself. At the heart of the hybrid nature of Grimus is an ingenuity that displaces what it has installed, so that the much-vaunted hybridity ARIEL: A Review of International English Literature, 25:4, October 1994 136 MUJEEBUDDIN SYED is itself stripped of all essentialized notions. -

The article provides the context of Iranian literature for the generation of play and drama, because existence of plan, description, characterization, causation, suspension, tragedy, conflict, climax, dialogue, time, and location have given play form and context to many tales of Shahnameh. Of course, Ferdowsi has not composed play but has composed epic. It can be argued that the stories in Shahnameh have the play structure in epic form. The reason is that topics such as ill-temper, good-temper, hatred, love, chastity, honesty, hypocrisy, envy, anger and greed have been and will be the subjects of all generations and eras and no generation has been able to ignore, abandon or lose them entirely. -

So far no serious work has been published, whether in Turkish or in any foreign language, that attempts to give a compre- hensive view of the whole field. Such books as have appeared up till now deal, like the present, with one side only, namely, Poetry. The reason why Ottoman prose has been thus neglected lies probably in the fact that until within the last half-century nearly all Turkish writing that was wholly or mainly literary or artistic in intention took the form of verse. Prose was as a rule reserved for practical and utilitarian purposes. Moreover, those few prose works that were artistic in aim, such as the Humayiin-Name and the later Khamsa-i Nergisi, were invariably elaborated upon the lines that at the time prevailed in poetry. Such works were of course not in metre; but this apart, their authors sought the same ends as did the poets, and sought to attain these by the same means. The merits and demerits of such writings there- fore are practically the same as those of the contemporary poetry. The History of Ottoman Poetry is thus nearly equi- valent to the History of Ottoman Literature.
