Gibraltar became British in 1704 and is a self-governing territory of the United Kingdom which covers 6.5 square kilometers, including the port and harbour. It is believed that Gibraltar has been used as a harbour by seafarers for thousands of years with evidence dating back at least three millennia to Phoenician times; however up until the late 19th Century it provided little shelter for vessels. Refer to Figure 1 which shows the coast line along the western side of Gibraltar with the first structure known as the ‘Old Mole’ on the northern end of the town. Refer to figure 1 below.     SECRETARÍA DE ESTADO DE ECONOMÍA MINISTERIO DIRECCIÓN GENERAL DE DEFENSA DE ECONOMÍA DE LA COMPETENCIA INFORME DEL SERVICIO DE DEFENSA DE LA COMPETENCIA N-03056 GESTION DE PARQUES DE OCIO (ADVENT) / PARQUES REUNIDOS Con fecha 10 octubre de 2003 ha tenido entrada en este Servicio de Defensa de la Competencia notificación relativa a la adquisición por parte de GESTION DE PARQUES DE OCIO, S.L.U. de la empresa PARQUES REUNIDOS, S.A. por medio de una oferta pública de adquisición de acciones y obligaciones convertibles. Dicha notificación ha sido realizada por GESTION DE PARQUES DE OCIO, S.L.U., según lo establecido en el artículo 15.1 de la Ley 16/1989, de 17 de julio, de Defensa de la Competencia, por superar el umbral establecido en el artículo 14.1 a). A esta operación le es de aplicación lo previsto en el Real Decreto 1443/2001, de 21 de diciembre, por el que se desarrolla la Ley 16/1989, en lo referente al control de las concentraciones económicas. El artículo 15 bis de la Ley 16/1989 establece que: "El Ministro de Economía, a propuesta del Servicio de Defensa de la Competencia, remitirá al Tribunal de Defensa de la Competencia los expedientes de aquellos proyectos u operaciones de concentración notificados por los interesados que considere pueden obstaculizar el mantenimiento de una competencia efectiva en el mercado, para que aquél, previa audiencia, en su caso, de los interesados dictamine al respecto". Asimismo, se añade: "Se entenderá que la Administración no se opone a la operación si transcurrido un mes desde la notificación al Servicio, no se hubiera remitido la misma al Tribunal".

    ELEMENTS OF DESIGN These are primarily the visual components used in creating a design or a composition. The elements that are basic to all visual design are line, form, color and texture. These additional element; pattern, light, and space help to complete it. Each of these basic elements is a well – defined and dissimilar feature of every design. However the effect of each element is considered only in connection with the other elements and the unit is judged as a whole. These elements, if used according to the principle of design, can ensure a certain degree of beauty in the final product. LINE This is a very important element in planning and furnishing. It is the most basic design element. Before the artist begins to paint, he or she must establish the direction of the lines of a painting on the canvas or paper. The artist combines horizontal, vertical, diagonals, and curved lines until the affect is pleasing to the eye. Likewise, the architect and the interior decorator must organize and combine lines before they can create beauty in a building or in an interior design. Lines have positive emotional significance depending upon their direction and their quality. In any interior, a combination of four types of lines listed above is generally seen, each having their own influences. Certain associations may be made between man and the lines based on the position his body takes in different actions. Vertical lines when standing, a human being is perceived as attentive and ready in act. Hence, vertical lines suggest steadfastness, sturdiness, or an upward aim.
