Day 1 Koblenz Individual arrival A town where the and converge to one of Germa- ny's oldest and most beautiful towns. Day 2 Koblenz - Moselkern - Cochem 30 km The boat brings you to Alken where you start your first bike tour to Moselkern. Considered to be one of the most romantic part of the , where the river curves, lies the old town of Co- chem. Stroll through the historical town featuring half-timbered houses, or spend a bit of time exploring the impressive Reichsburg Castle.

Day 3 Cochem - Zell on the Mosel 40 km Today you cycle to Beilstein where you enjoy this beautiful city during a city tour. Your tour ends in the wine city of Zell, with its endless vineyards hugging the river the whole route. Take the time to enjoy some of the local wines and food. Optional winetasting at a local vineyard.

Day 4 Zell on the Mosel - Bernkastel - Kues 40 km Today you bike to Traben-Trarbach, the centre of art-nouveau ar- chitecture. From there you pass through the wine city of Kröv be- fore reaching Bernkastel-Kues: the quaint half-timbered houses gathering around the market square are surely the most beautiful in the region.

Day 5 Bernkastel-Kues - Piesport - Mehring 45 km In the morning you visit the largest winegrowers´ co-operative alongside the Moselle in Piesport, join an optional excursion of a guided tour to historic Roman cellars and vineyards. Then you cy- cle to Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest wine-grower town of Germany. After lunch you go on to Mehring today´s destination.

Day 6 Mehring - Trier 26 km You pedal along to Trier/ where the boat awaits you. Enjoy the city with its well-known roman city gate and impressive build- ings - Trier is one of the oldest cities in Germany. Explore the sights and sounds of Trier, the cathedrals, museums, churches and even Roman Baths. This is a wonderful little university town, with some- thing for everyone.

Day 7 Trier/Konz - Wasserbillig - Saarburg 40 km Today you will be cycling along the banks of the Saar river from Trier via Wasserbillig in to Saarburg, also known as “little Venice”. In its centre you will find a waterfall of 20m deep.

Day 8 Saarburg Individual departure after breakfast.

What to Expect Getting There
