Chairman Mr. Boris Kutin welcomed all the attendees and gave brief information about the Commissions' action.

1. Secretary Mr. Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou informed that the Commission meeting will last from 15.00 to 19.00. He reported about the activities of the Commission and the success of the amendments made last year as also the new tournaments established. World Teams 50+ and 65+ gathered 107 teams in Dresden. World Youth Olympiad U16 made a new countries participation record in Propad, Slovakia with significant increase of girls’ players. While World Amateur Championship with new rating categories shows a new dynamic. Also presented the update FIDE IO Manual, edition 2016.

2. Senior Director Mr. Dirk Jordan presented an extensive report and proposals for the Seniors Championships. Commission decided to decrease rounds to minimum 9 for World Senior Individual Chess Championship in order to relief the costs for the players. Also will be added in regulations that accommodation choices for seniors’ competitions should be more including hotels of different quality and different meals programs (BB, HB. FB). The commission recommends the Continental Seniors Championships to be organized the fist half of the year and the World Championships the second half.

3. The Commission discussed the proposal coming from the Trainers Committee concerning the reserve players in team events. Specifically the Trainers Commission proposed the reserve player to be able to play in all board changing each time the respective board. The proposal has some advantages as also some possible negative aspects. However the Commission recommends to FIDE to be exercised as a test in one‐two events. In any case if some change applies in the future shall be for all FIDE teams competitions and not only those managed by Events Commission.

4. The commission examined the IO title applications. The Commission recommendation is attached.

5. The rest Calendar for 2016 was examined and was confirmed that everything is set for the coming events as also the program for 2017.

6. The inspections and evaluation reports for the FIDE Competitions 2018 were examined. The inspector for the World Cadets Championship Mr. Adam Dzwonkowski gave some clarifications and wording corrections for his reports for World Cadets Championship 2018. The final decision will be taken during the FIDE General Assembly.

7. Commission Chairman Boris Kutin thanked all Commission's members for their work and all the attendees for the wide participation and the contribution in the Commission meetings.
