Traffic impacts
In early 2017, east and westbound lane closures will commence on the Warrego Highway for bridge construction
(approximately 4.3km west of the Lockyer Creek Bridge at Helidon).
This involves:
- •
- constructing a bridge from the
Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa, with two eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes, enabling motorists to enter and exit the TSRC
Intermittent hold and release traffic
control measures and temporary lane closures will allow for construction
materials to be delivered safely.
- •
- closing the Warrego Highway
median break between Postmans Ridge Road and Twidales Road at Helidon Spa (due to the safety impacts of merging and weaving
traffic at the Warrego Highway
East interchange and right-turning
traffic at the intersection).
In late 2018, the Warrego Highway median break between Postmans Ridge Road and Twidales Road at Helidon Spa
will permanently close. This will restrict
right turns in and out of Postmans
Ridge Road and Twidales Road.

During construction, road users will
experience changed traffic conditions,
including reduced speed limits, lane
closures, short delays and detours. Traffic control and signage will be used,
as required, to direct motorists safely
through the work area.
Working hours
Works will be undertaken during standard construction hours, which are
6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
Out-of-hours works may occasionally
occur between 8:00pm and 5:00am. Residents will be notified prior to out-ofhours works commencing.
