As part of work on the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC), an interchange will be constructed at the eastern entry to the TSRC on the Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa.

Residents can visit the TSRC Visitor Information Centre located at the project’s site oﬃce on Bedford Street, Cranley. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. The centre is also open outside these times by appointment. Visitor Information Booths are open at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre and Toowoomba City Library. These displays are open as per each centre’s opening hours and will be regularly updated with the latest project information. Traﬃc impacts

In early 2017, east and westbound lane closures will commence on the Warrego Highway for bridge construction

(approximately 4.3km west of the Lockyer Creek Bridge at Helidon).

This involves:

Working hours

Works will be undertaken during standard construction hours, which are

6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Saturday.

Out-of-hours works may occasionally

occur between 8:00pm and 5:00am. Residents will be notiﬁed prior to out-ofhours works commencing.

PROGRESS REPORT - 23 JULY, 2020 Funding of Priorities Identified and Advocated through the Inland Queensland Roads Action Project (IQ-RAP) Page 1 INTRODUCTION TO THE INLAND QUEENSLAND ROADS ACTION PROJECT (IQ-RAP) The IQ-RAP was developed through consultation and engagement with local governments and industry peak bodies. Regional Roads Forums were convened in December 2013 in Longreach and in August 2014 in Mount Isa with participants coming from across inland Queensland. Regional Development Australia Townsville and North West Queensland (RDA) was requested and agreed to be the Secretariat and raised funds from partners in 2015. Funding support was forthcoming from 33 local governments that covered 82% of Queensland’s area, RACQ and 5 Regional Development Australia Committees. A Project Steering Committee was formed and consultants the Harrison Infrastructure Group (HIG) were engaged. In February, 2016 the Inland Queensland Roads Action Plan was launched. This was followed by extensive advocacy to the Australian and Queensland Governments and peak industry bodies through to mid-2018. In mid-2017 IQ-RAP partners agreed to extend the project and update the Plan into a new Inland Queensland Road Network Strategy, taking into account the funding commitments that had been made to priorities identified in 2016, carrying over the priorities that still required funding and updating the Multi- Criteria Analysis with new information. 28 local governments, 5 Regional Development Australia Committees and RACQ provided on-going funding support. Further extensive advocacy was undertaken. This document summarises the funding that has been secured for priorities identified and advocated through the Inland Queensland Roads Action Project (IQ-RAP) and the two major reports that were prepared by Harrison Infrastructure Group (HIG) and Regional Development Australia Townsville and North West Queensland (RDA).

The trotting track is also one of the best trotting facilities in South East Queensland. 2 Former German Baptist Church: Once the German Baptist Church, this building is now a popular craft and coffee-house. 3 Proudlock's Drapery: Constructed c1910 as a drapery this building is now a modern hairdressing salon, recalling Marburg's hey-day as hub of a bustling community. Drive up the hill and u-turn at the palm trees opposite. 4 Dr Sirois Memorial Stone, Hospital Hill: The memorial stone bears an inscription to the legendary local hero Dr Euchariste Sirois who established a private hospital at Marburg in 1912. He is also renowned as the 'father of the Warrego Highway'. 5 Rosewood Scrub Historical Society's Museum, Marburg Community Centre: At the Edmond and Queen Streets corner, with the flagpole, war memorials and children's playground is the Marburg Community Centre, which was formerly the Queensland National Bank. The quaint wooden building next door was once the Walloon Shire Council's civic administrative centre and is now the Rosewood Scrub Historical Society's Museum. The Society specialises in historic photographs of the local area. Located behind is an original local dairy building. 6 Marburg Hotel: Built in 1879, the Marburg Hotel was the centrepiece of the film 'The Settlement'.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) continues to monitor growth and development in Moggill, Bellbowrie and surrounding suburbs including Anstead, Karana Downs and Mount Crosby. TMR acknowledges that increased residential and commercial development, particularly in Moggill and Bellbowrie, will place growing pressure on roads and transport corridors in the area. The Palaszczuk Government is committed to providing an integrated and efficient public transport network for Queensland. I'm advised that currently, TMR's Translink division scheduled urban bus routes 444 and 443, and BCC personalised public transport (PPT) service are helping meet demand for commuter services and assisting in reducing the use of personal vehicles travelling along the Moggill Road corridor. These bus routes and BCC's PPT provide residents and visitors to Brisbane's outer south western suburbs with connections to additional services operating across Brisbane and South East Queensland. TMR will, however, continue to monitor the use of public transport services in these suburbs and consider future service improvements to ensure the public transport needs of the area continue to be met.
