Connecticut Network (CPBN) Announces Three New Members for its Board of Trustees Christopher M. Dadlez, Thea Montanez and Jerry Plush

(Aug. 3, 2012 – Hartford, Conn.) – Public Broadcasting Network (CPBN), parent company of Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and WNPR/, recently announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Trustees for 2012-2013: Christopher M. Dadlez, Thea Montanez and Jerry Plush.

Christopher M. Dadlez Christopher M. Dadlez has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, Conn., since 2004. His previous experience includes positions as President and Chief Executive Officer at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio; Executive Vice President of the Saint Barnabas Healthcare System in New Jersey; and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Mid-Atlantic Health Group. In 2007, then-governor M. Jodi Rell appointed Dadlez to the Governor’s Hospital System Strategic Task Force, and in 2009, to the Connecticut Healthcare Reform Advisory Board.

Dadlez has served on several other boards in the Connecticut area, including the Connecticut Science Center Board, the Malta House of Care and the Arts Council, and past Chair of the Connecticut Hospital Association.

He currently holds leadership roles in the American Hospital Association as a member of its Board of Directors, Chair of its Regional Policy Board 1, and member of the Operations Committee, AHA Equity of Care Committee, and the AHAPAC. – more – CPBN Announces Three New Members of Board of Trustees/Page 2

Dadlez holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s degree in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Thea Montanez Thea Montanez is the Director of Enterprise Communication Operations at The Hartford Financial Services Group. She is also President of the Hartford Public Library board of directors, a board member of Grace Academy, member of the reSet Board of Directors and is on the advisory council for The Shelter For Women. Montanez’s achievements were recognized this year at the Connecticut Women’s Conference, where she was named a “Woman of Distinction” by the Connecticut Women’s Alliance. She is also a guest blogger for the Huffington Post’s Social Impact section. In 2006, Montanez earned the Hartford Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award.

Montanez holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer studies from Syracuse University.

Jerry Plush Jerry Plush is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Webster Bank, and also serves on the Bank’s board of directors. His prior experience includes eleven years with MBNA America in Delaware, where he served in a number of senior executive positions, including as Senior Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Corporate Development and Acquisitions, as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MBNA’s North American Operations, and as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of U.S. Credit Card.

Plush holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. He has previously served on the board of directors for the Ronald McDonald House in Delaware, and the Upland County Day School in Pennsylvania, and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southwest New England.
