Änderung vom 10.11.2020, GMBl Nr. 45 Technische Regeln für Einstufung von Viren in TRBA 462 Biologische Arbeitsstoffe Risikogruppen Die Technischen Regeln für Biologische Arbeitsstoffe (TRBA) geben den Stand der Technik, Arbeitsmedizin und Arbeitshygiene sowie sonstige gesicherte wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse für Tätigkeiten mit biologischen Arbeitsstoffen, einschließlich deren Einstufung, wieder. Sie werden vom Ausschuss für Biologische Arbeitsstoffe ermittelt bzw. angepasst und vom Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales im Gemeinsamen Ministerialblatt (GMBl) bekannt gegeben. Diese TRBA „Einstufung von Viren in Risikogruppen“ konkretisiert im Rahmen des Anwendungsbereichs die Anforderungen der Biostoffverordnung. Bei Einhaltung der Technischen Regeln kann der Arbeitgeber insoweit davon ausgehen, dass die entsprechenden Anforderungen der Verordnung erfüllt sind. Wählt der Arbeitgeber eine andere Lösung, muss er damit mindestens die gleiche Sicherheit und den gleichen Gesundheitsschutz für die Beschäftigten erreichen. Die vorliegende Technische Regel beruht auf der BGI 631 „Sichere Biotechnologie – Einstufung biologischer Arbeitsstoffe: Viren“ des Fachausschusses „Chemie“ der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung (DGUV). Humans may be infected with hantaviruses through rodent bites, urine, saliva or contact with rodent waste products. Some hantaviruses cause potentially fatal diseases in humans, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS), but others have not been associated with human disease. ABSTRACT Increased globalization and trade lead to the evolution of several viral pathogens which acclimatize to new hosts and augment their habitat alteration are some factors responsible for their emergence. Hantaviruses are upcoming viruses that are transmitted by small Rodents especially Rats. Once communicated to humans, they can result in two important clinical syndromes, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, and Hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome. Humans are inadvertent hosts generally got infected through aerosols produced from infected rodents contamination by urine, feces, and saliva. The infections spread from humans to humans are rare as the evolution of the virus imperatively relies on the rodent host. Hantaviruses are the members of the family Bunyaviridae/hantaviridae and commonly regarded as orthohantavirus (or hantavirus) which is a single-stranded, enveloped, negative-sense RNA virus belonging to the order Bunyavirales. Research on Hantavirus is carried out globally but at a slower rate. In the present scenario, the growth of the coronavirus has instigated to study on the Hantavirus and eradicate the growth of viruses with the latest vaccines. -

The majority of American orthohantaviruses are known to cause disease in humans, and most of these pathogenic strains were not described prior to human cases, indicating the importance of understanding all members of the virus clade. In this review, we summarize information on the ecology of under-studied rodent-borne American orthohantaviruses to form general conclusions and highlight important gaps in knowledge. Information regarding the presence and genetic diversity of many orthohantaviruses throughout the distributional range of their hosts is minimal and would significantly benefit from virus isolations to indicate a reservoir role. Additionally, few studies have investigated the mechanisms underlying transmission routes and factors affecting the environmental persistence of orthohantaviruses, limiting our understanding of factors driving prevalence fluctuations. As landscapes continue to change, host ranges and human exposure to orthohantaviruses likely will as well. Research on the ecology of neglected orthohantaviruses is necessary for understanding both current and future threats to human health. -
