SWOC analysis of the department and Future plans: Strength:  Including 1 permanent faculty 6 faculties are Ph.D. holders and more qualified with SLET/NET and JRF.  They have published books and articles.  Positive & optimistic approach of the teachers and students.  Good result and increasing students strength every year.  More activities for students in literary & co-curricular programmes.

Weakness:  No kannada PG programme in the college.  Lack computer Knowledge among the students.  Inadequate financial support to orange academic programmes. Opportunities:  They can get admission to Post Graduation Course in Kannada , Bachelor of Education.  They can take competitive Exams like S.D.A.,F.D.A. and K.A.S.

Challenges:  To start P.G. Course in Kannada.  To train them in communication skills in English.  To give more scope in Journalism and mass media.
