INDUSTRY COVID SURVEY At the end of 2020, we asked you to help us gather some information about how COVID has affected our industry. Thank you to all of those who shared your experience with us. We wanted to give you the results. 1 AND NCS Caregivers responded to this survey 419 Responses

Did you lose your job due to COVID? If you lost your job, have you been able to find comparable employment that you are happy with? 28% lost a job due to COVID 57% of those were not able to find comparable employment

Has your income increased or decreased since the beginning of 2020? 38% said their income decreased 29% said that it increased 33% said it stayed the same

Were you furloughed in the last year for any time? Of the 33% that were furloughed, 36% were furloughed with full pay 28% were furloughed with some pay 36% were furloughed with no pay

Are you more concerned about losing your job now than you were a year ago? 38% are more concerned about losing a job 21% are less concerned

Do you now have at least one employer working from home? 85% now work with at least one working from home, which is up from 27% from before the pandemic

Does your job now consist of helping with virtual learning or kids when you were not doing that pre-COVID? 45% have helped the children in their care with their in 2020

Have you considered a career change due to this pandemic? 29% are considering or actively seeking work outside of the nanny industry due to the pandemic 49% like where they are or are feeling even more sure they want to stay in this industry.

Has the long-term pandemic affected your personal stress levels? 87% feel that the pandemic has added stress or anxiety to their lives 4% feel more at peace now

If you do long-term placements in your agency, did that part of your business see any changes since the start of the pandemic? 81% had fewer placements with 43% saying they had an over 50% slowdown 15% had more placements

If you do short-term or temp placements in your agency, did that part of your business see any changes since the start of the pandemic? 75% had fewer placements with 41% saying they had an over 50% slowdown 13% had more placements

If you are not a placement agency but work in a different area of the industry, did you find a change in business? 88 % had less business with 21% saying they had an over 50% slowdown 11% had more business

Do you feel that you have changed the way you do business in general? 90% of businesses have changed the way they do business 39% making drastic changes

How concerned are you about the long-term stability of your agency? 64% are concerned about the long term stability of their business with 32% being very concerned 14% are less concerned about their business then they were before the pandemic
