Glive Slovenije: vrste in razširjenost = Fungi of Slovenia: Species and distribution. (Strokovna in znanstvena dela = Studia Forestalia Slovenica, 124). Ljubljana, Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije, Silva Slovenica: VI, 497 s. Podatki o vrstah gliv in njihovi razširjenosti v Sloveniji so zbrani iz arhiva Mikološke zveze Slove- nije, osebnih arhivov njenih članov, delno iz obstoječih zbirk in virov iz literature. Opisan je raču- nalniški program za vnos podatkov o glivah v Sloveniji z imenom Boletus informaticus. Program je namenjen sistematičnemu beleženju vrst gliv, njihove razširjenosti in podatkov o njihovem rastišču. Poleg tega program omogoča različne obdelave gradiva, različne načine izpisa in kartografske pred- stavitve najdišč v mreži srednjeevropskega kartiranja flore in v mreži UTM. Ključne besede: glive, razširjenost, Slovenija ABSTRACT Jurc D., Piltaver A., Ogris N. 2005. Glive Slovenije: vrste in razširjenost = Fungi of Slovenia: Species and distribution. (Strokovna in znanstvena dela = Studia Forestalia Slovenica, 124). Ljubljana, Gozdarski inštitut Slovenije, Silva Slovenica: VI, 497 pp. The following is the collected data on the species and distribution of fungi in Slovenia from the ar- chives of the Mycological Association of Slovenia and the personal archives of its members, as well as, in part, from existing collections and literature sources. A computer program for inputting data on fungi in Slovenia called Boletus informaticus is also described. The program is aimed at system- atically recording species of fungi, their distribution, and data regarding their habitat, in addition the program allows various ways processing materials, various means of data retrieval, and carto- graphical presentations of finds within the grid of the Central European mapping of flora and the UTM grid. The only data cited in the results are those with a known determiner, time and place of collection. There are 114,620 such citations. The distribution of 2,452 species of fungi within the Central European mapping of flora are shown, and the collection quadrant, determiner of fungi, year and month of collection and the type of data are cited. The distribution is shown in map form for all cases where the fungus was collected in more than three locations. The majority of collected data is from the period after 1952. 111,579 records refer to the phylum Basidiomycota, 2,819 to Ascomycota, 221 to Myxomycota and 1 to Zygomycota. The nomenclature of fungi was updated ac- cording to the data collection Index fungorum, CABI. This work is the first publication up to now to bring together and synthesize the whole bank of present knowledge regarding the species and dis- tribution of fungi in Slovenia. Current Research in Environmental & Applied Mycology 5(3), 213–247, Doi 10.5943/cream/5/3/6 Abstract This paper includes the results of eco-taxonomic studies of coprophilous mushrooms in Punjab, India. The information is based on the survey to dung localities of the state during the various years from 2007-2011. A total number of 172 collections have been observed, growing as saprobes on dung of various domesticated and wild herbivorous animals in pastures, open areas, zoological parks, and on dung heaps along roadsides or along village ponds, etc. High coprophilous mushrooms’ diversity has been established and a number of rare and sensitive species recorded with the present study. The observed collections belong to 95 species spread over 20 genera and 07 families of the order Agaricales. The present paper discusses the distribution of these mushrooms in Punjab among different seasons, regions, habitats, and growing habits along with their economic utility, habitat management and conservation. This is the first attempt in which various dung localities of the state has been explored systematically to ascertain the diversity, seasonal availability, distribution and ecology of coprophilous mushrooms.

First List of the Wild Mushrooms of Jordan Prof. Dr. Ahmad Al-Raddad Al-Momany Royal Botanic Garden 1st Annual Scientific Day Thursday January 12, 2012 Amman, Jordan Project Objectives 1- Establish a checklist of the wild mushrooms of Jordan as a part of the National species Database (NSD) 2- Establish the national museum of wild mushrooms of Jordan at the Royal Botanic Garden at Tell Ar-Rumman 3- Produce a book, a field guide and an online gallery about the wild mushrooms of Jordan The Nutritional Value of Mushrooms 100 grams for daily body requirements 1- Mushrooms are a good source of vitamins, essential amino acids and proteins. 2- Mushrooms are a great source of minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and selenium. 3- In addition, mushrooms contain virtually no fat or cholesterol, and are naturally low in sodium. 4- Mushrooms are also a good source of fiber. 5- They are antioxidants and help in cancer treatment. 6- Mushrooms are low in calories and are an anti-aging food. What is a mushroom? A mushroom is actually the fruiting structure of a fungus. The fungus is simply a net of thread-like fibers, called a mycelium, growing in soil, wood or decaying organic matter. Most mushrooms are edible and highly delicious. Others are not edible, and the rest are deadly poisonous. Wild Mushrooms Poisonous Edible The function of a mushroom is to produce spores, which are the propagative structures of the fungus. Spore identification is the master key for mushroom classification. Basidiospores of Agaricus Spore print of Mycena Mushroom Groups 1.

MushRumors The Newsletter of the Northwest Mushroomers Association Volume 25, Issue 4 December 2014 After Arid Start, 2014 Mushroom Season Flourishes It All Came Together By Chuck Nafziger It all came together for the 2014 Wild Mushroom Show; an October with the perfect amount of rain for abundant mushrooms, an enthusiastic volunteer base, a Photo by Vince Biciunas great show publicity team, a warm sunny show day, and an increased public interest in foraging. Nadine Lihach, who took care of the admissions, reports that we blew away last year's record attendance by about 140 people. Add to that all the volunteers who put the show together, and we had well over 900 people involved. That's a huge event for our club. Nadine said, "... this was a record year at the entry gate: 862 attendees (includes children). Our previous high was in 2013: 723 attendees. Success is more measured in the happiness index of those attending, and many people stopped by on their way out to thank us for the wonderful show. Kids—and there were many—were especially delighted, and I'm sure there were some future mycophiles and mycologists in Sunday's crowd. The mushroom display A stunning entry display greets visitors arriving at the show. by the door was effective, as always, at luring people in. You could actually see the kids' eyes getting bigger as they surveyed the weird mushrooms, and twice during the day kids ran back to our table to tell us that they had spotted the mushroom fairy. There were many repeat adult visitors, too, often bearing mushrooms for identification.

The fungi of the subalpine and alpine zone of the Sciliar massif – checklist and conclusions of the "Sciliar project" The author describes the methods of the search for fungi and of the mycological work adopted by the Gruppo Micologico Bresadola of Bolzano within the "Nature Project Schlern" during the research years 2006 and 2007. Results and scientific conclusions include a checklist (578 taxa) with descriptions and illustrations of rare and/or peculiar fungi, as well as ecological considerations based on the recorded fungal community patterns. Keywods: Checklist, Fungi, Basidiomycota, Ascomycota, Myxomycetes, Sciliar, South Tyrol, Italy. 1.
