ABOUT CMC: The Chamber Music Connection, Inc. (CMC), founded by Artistic Director Deborah Bar- rett Price—better known to students and faculty as Debbie—has maintained a policy of “no audition required” since starting the program in 1992. CMC students are primarily string, piano, and wind players, but CMC accepts all types of instrumentalists and vocal- ists. Ensembles are formed based on age, previous experience, and their potential to learn from—and inspire—one another. Students must collaborate to achieve their musical goals.

CMC students and alumni have been recognized for achieving excellence on their particu- David Finckel, Wu Han and Philip Setzer lar instrument and with their small ensemble throughout the state and the country. Several ensembles have placed or won statewide and international chamber music and/or solo competitions and have performed or won medals in the Fischoff, M-Prize, Coltman, MYA Discover, Saint Paul String Quartet, and/or the Ohio Orchestra & String Teachers Associ- ation Biennial Chamber Music Competitions.

CMC’s programs serve students from as far as Granville, Mansfield, Springfield, Kenton, Dayton, Cleveland, Cincinnati as well as throughout Central Ohio. Rehearsals and coachings are housed in St. John’s Episcopal Church in Worthington, Ohio. CMC, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization providing an equal opportunity educational experience.
