Edward Ward, Lord Dudley Ferdinando Dudley Lea, bap. 1710, William Lea, Anne Lea, Frances Lea, Mary Lea, Catherine Lea, Elizabeth Lea, and Ward, b.1704; died succeeded his maternal uncle, in1740, died unmarried ; bap. 1714; married bap. 1717 ;married d.1742; married bap.1726; married to bap.1728; married to unmarried, and was succeeded as Baron Dudley. Died 1757, unmarried, bap. 1722; d.1741-2. to Wm. Smith, Esq., to Walter Woodcock, to Joseph Thomas Jordan, 1744. Rev.Benjamin Briscoe, by his uncle William. when the Barony fellinto . 1737. * Thiß Viscovnt Dudley and Ward, married first, Anna Maria, daughter ofCharles Bourchier, Esq., of the cityofDublin, by whom he had one son, John, his successor, and VißCOunt Dudley and Ward then married secondly Mary, daughter and heiress of John Carver, EBq., by whom he had another survivingson, William. The elder son succeeded Viscount Dadley and Ward in1774. This second Viscount was an LL.D. and died s.p. in1788, when the honors devolved upon his half brother, William,who was third Viscount, horn Jan. 21, 1750, married Aug.1,1780, Julia, second daughi er of Godfrey Bossville, Esq., of Gunthwaite, Yorkshire, by whom he had an onlyson, John William, who was distinguished for his highcharacter. He died April5,1823, and was succeeded byhis son, John William aforesaid, who was the fourth Viscount, and was created Viscount Ednam of Ednam, inRoxburghshire, and Earl Dudley of Dudley Castle in 1827, but died unmarried 6,1833, when the titles conferred on himself, together with the Viscounty of Diidleyand Ward became extinct, while the Barony of Ward devolved on his Becond cousin, William Humble Ward, tenth lord, a clergyman, born Jan. 9,1781, who married May 22, 1816, Amelia, daughter of William Gooch Pillans, of Bracondale, County Norfolk, and had :1,William Ward, apeer after the death ofhis father, Dec. 6, 1835. He was created . 2, Hon. H-imble Dudley, b. Dec. 20, 1821 ;d. Dec. 14, 1870; m. Dec. 17, 1843, Eleanor Louise, daughter of Thomas Hawkes,Esq., ofHimley House, County Stafford, M.P. forDudley,and had a son and two daughters, viz.:1, William Humble Dudley Ward, b. Feb. 19, 1849; m. Oct. 14. 1876, Eugenic Violet Adele, daugh er of Right Hon. Bir William Baliol Brett, P. C.
