It is located on the shores of Lake Nero in Yaroslavl Oblast, 202 km to the north east of Moscow. While the offi cial name of the town is Rostov, it is better known to Russians as Rostov Veliky, i.e. Rostov the Great. Rostov was predated by Sarskoye Gorodishche, which some scholars interpret as the capital of the Merya tribe, while others believe it was an important Viking trade enclave and fortress guarding the Volga trade route. First mentioned in the year 862 as an already important settlement, by the 13th century, Rostov became capital city of one of the most prominent Russian principalities. Even aft er it lost its independence, Rostov was still an ecclesiastic center of utmost importance (from 988 it was the see of one of the fi rst Russian bishoprics). In the 14th Century, the bishops of Rostov became archbishops, and late in the 16th century, metropolitans. One of those metropolitans, Iona (Jonah) Sysoevich (ca. 1607-1690), commissioned the town's main landmark: the kremlin that many regard as the fi nest outside of Moscow. FREE PAGE DOWNLOAD PDFs This PDF download: these are watermarked samples from my own design stamp album pages, albeit some at much lower resolution quality in order to keep internet download file size down. You may be able to glean a few design ideas from these, not that I am suggesting they are a masterpiece! Legal warning: no part or captured image/s of these pages and/or page designs can be used commercially, given away, or sold on without first obtaining my written permission. Software options I used an old version of QuarkXPress Passport (version 7.3 from my publishing days) to do all the page layout work (with its brilliant page element library) but other alternatives are Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW and perhaps MS Publisher. You might also want to take a look at AlbumGen (stamp album design software) which can combine with images and data from EzStamp – follow this link https://ezstamp.com/software/stamp-album-software/ Get your pages printed professionally – not on a home printer. In terms of printing your own stamp album pages, most decent digital print shops should be able to print on larger paper size for you (e.g. A3 paper - ideally at 1200 dpi); then also guillotine to whatever final page size is wanted; and then punch/drill holes to suit your binder choice. Paper specification In terms of paper, I highly recommend Mondi Colorcopy 160g/m2 (59 lbs bond) paper – a paper that works really well with digital printing. You could use thicker paper if you wanted. Colorcopy paper is widely available in various paper sizes including A3.

  • Characteristics of the Regime and Structure of Water Masses in the Volga Reservoirs
Characteristics of the regime and structure of water masses in the Volga reservoirs N. V. Butorin Abstract. The characteristics of the hydrological regime of reservoirs is shown in peculiarities of the water balance, water circulation, level, wave, temperature and ice regimes. The peculiarities of the hydrological regime lead to heterogeneity in the physical and chemical characteristics of the water. Detailed analysis of these characteristics makes it possible to identify distinct water masses with different properties in reservoirs. The use of natural water resources under modem technological progress is limited by the peculiarities of their geographical distribution, their seasonal and yearly fluctuations and also by considerable water pollution from domestic and industrial waste. One of the most effective means of controlling water resources is by creating reservoirs. Reservoirs are becoming an essential feature of the landscape. Each of them is a complex geographical object. Reservoirs differ from other water bodies in their bed morphology, in the interaction of the water mass with the bottom and the shores, in the physical and chemical properties of the waters and their dynamics, The main characteristic feature of a reservoir is its slow water exchange and the possibility of regulating it.

The Klyazma river (the fourth order tributary to the Volga) was selected as the object of study. The natural complex of the Klyazma river basin is a combination of different landscapes, each marked by a diverse composition of geomorphological and soil-vegetation structures. The study is based on remote sensing data and the Trends.Earth Land Degradation Monitoring Project (Land Cover Dataset, European Space Agency 2015, 300 m spatial resolution) implemented using the open-source Quantum GIS 2.18. Four landscape provinces and eight site were identified in the studied catchment area according to the geomorphological structure and the soil and vegetation cover. The ecosystem parameters Gross Primary Productivity, Net Primary Productivity, and Ecosystem Respiration were measured in the identified sites.
