Scotland Total Visitor Numbers Usable data was received from 230 sites. The total number of visits recorded in March 2016 was 1,824,125; this compares to 1,490,306 in 2015 and indicates an increase of 22.4%. National Museum of Flight "The National Museum of Flight was up an extremely impressive 183% on 2015, following a hugely successful launch of two redeveloped hangars over the Easter Weekend. These had previously been closed to the public since November 2014." National Museum of Scotland "The National Museum of Scotland achieved a 24% increase in visitor figures year-on-year. £8.84

This is partly due to the early Easter weekend. The museum also benefitted from the popular Build It! ScotlandsPeople Centre "Regrettably, due to a major IT incident, it was necessary to close the ScotlandsPeople Centre from Thursday, 24 March to Friday, 1 April inclusive.
