DELEGATE PROGRAMME

www.imaginate.org.uk WELCOME 2019 is a very special year for the International Children’s Festival. We turn 30! The Festival has grown and endured thanks to the incredible support of industry colleagues at home and abroad. Delegates return every year knowing they will find work of a high standard – theatre and dance productions that are formative encounters in young people’s lives. The works are diverse, challenging and enthralling. They encourage young audiences to engage as equal and active contributors in constructing meaning from what they observe on stage. The works are also truly international and reflect contemporary voices from across the globe. Come and celebrate our 30th birthday with us in Edinburgh this May when we present 15 productions from eight countries; France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Australia and the UK. Of these productions, four are very proudly Scottish, including two premieres and two re-imagined works. We can’t wait to welcome our professional colleagues from around the world to celebrate this auspicious occasion.

Noel Jordan Festival Director “The Children’s Festival is brilliantly curated! It’s an excellent and convenient forum to see great work from all over the world with lots of opportunities to network with key producers and presenters.” Delegate, Festival 2018
